I was out on the road this weekend in Waukesha, Wisconsin, helping Prep Girls Hoops cover the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit in the Legacy Region. The tournament this weekend, The Race for the Legacy, concluded on Sunday with tournament finals in several age groups. Below is a look at eight young ladies who I thought stood out in their games I was able to see on Sunday. Being from Indiana, this was my first time seeing each of them, so I am interested in seeing them play more throughout the Spring and Summer.

Mallory sticks out as one of my favorite players to have watched over the weekend. She has an athletic frame and is strong enough to absorb contact. At the same time, she has good speed and quickness, and she is a playmaker at both ends of the floor. She buried 3-pointer after 3-pointer, she was able to break down defenders off the bounce, and she found open teammates offensively. Defensively, she was good on the ball, and she played with a motor and got on the floor for loose balls repeatedly.
