The Prep Girls Hoops Circuit is on it's way to Michigan this weekend. The Great Lakes Challenge will be held in Grand Rapids and will have a lot of high quality players and prospects to watch. There will be some excellent post players that college coaches, scouts, and fans may want to watch out for. Let’s take a look at some of the post players to watch at the Great Lakes Challenge.
Faith Carson (2023, C, UTS Elite 2023, Buchanan)
Carson is a must see at the Great Lakes Challenge. In my opinion, she's a top 100 prospect in the country. Carson has elite strength to go along with soft hands and is a great passer as well.
Emma Cleland (2022, C, Michigan Goonies 2022, Armada)
Cleland has the look of an old school center that's willing to do all the dirty work in the paint. She's a rebounder first, with the ability to clean up on the glass.
Victoria Delratz (2023, C, NWI Thunder 2022 Gold, Morgan Township)
Delratz is a vertical defender with soft hands on defense. She has the look of a natural shot blocker and a potential difference maker on D.
Jac’ana Anderson (2022, C, Team Evolution United 2022, Mayfield)
Harwell is an intriguing prospect with her strength and length. She can score from under the rim as well as utilize a solid free throw line jumper. Harwell is an athletic defender.
Nikkel Johnson (2024, PF, K3 Lady Elite, Kankakee)
Johnson is a strong and physical presence in the post. She's a grinder that makes hustle plays for her team. Johnson looks ready and willing to accept any matchup this weekend.
Kylie Kinser (2023, PF, Illinois Inferno 2022 Elite Blue)
I've never seen Kinser live, but I like the look of her game translating into a stretch 4 with length. From film, she looks like a high IQ player that plays with a lot of poise.
Lily Miller (2022, PF, Hardwood Midwest 2022, Muskegon Mona Shores)
Miller is a bouncy and long forward that can athletically run the floor. She's a skilled lefty and she knows how it to her advantage.
Jen Pryor (2022, PF, Athlete Headquarters 2022, Toledo Christian Central)
Pryor has some real post skills. She seals defenders in the lane and stays pass ready when she does. Pryor is a back to the basket player that can finish over her right shoulder. She's a solid shot blocker as well.
