When she brings the ball up from the point, she will immediately attack the back-peddling defender and try to score or go until defensive help comes. Pushes the ball quickly in transition after securing a rebound. Overall, Anna is a playmaker for AAO Flight and is a relentless attacker. She scores but also makes plays as a passer when she gets by the defense or in transition.
Strengths:
- Aggressive offensive mentality
- Attack-mode with the ball
- + crossover
- +spin-move
- Playmaker as a passer
Paige Medley – (5’5/CG/2024) – Team First Step 2024 – Meade County (Kentucky) – Paige is a legit shooter from three. She is skilled beyond her years, being a 2024 prospect. You can tell by the way she plays, that she has a great understanding of the game and guard play. Plays with a smoothness and ease to her game. Things seem a little slowed down for her. Understands how to get open for threes off-the-ball. One of the top 3-point shooters in the tournament. Again, does a ton of damage from three and can’t be left open.
Strengths:
- +ball-handling (behind the back)
- + 3-point shooter
- Perimeter passer
- Basketball IQ
Kaelyse Mitchell – (6’4/C/2025) – S.W.I.S.H City 2024 Jones – Fj Reitz (Indinia) –
Kaelyse towers over her 15U competition, and she’s only a 2025 prospect. Lots of potential here with Kaelyse as she’s standing at a physical 6’4. Moves decent enough to not get beat for easy twos on the other end. In the matchup I watched, she was nearly doubled every possession making it a little more difficult to receive entry passes and lobs. Rebounding the ball, she can high-point it easily over her opponents.
Strengths:
- 6’4 strong/big body
- Youth (2025)
- Potential
- Commands extra defensive attention
- Rebounding
Jordan Scott – (5’5/CG/2025) – S.W.I.S.H City 2024 Jones – Castle (Indiana) – Jordan is a quick, athletic, combo guard that loves to attack the on-ball defender. Attacks with quickness and strength. Her overall speed from end-to-end is quite impressive. Uses her quickness to be a swarming defender. Good first-step allowing her to get in the lane to put up a floater.
Strengths:
- Quickness and speed
- First-step
- Playing strength for position and size
- Sprints floor
- Defensive pressure
Honna Brown – (5’10/SF-PF/2024) – Southeast Dynasty 2024 – East Carter (Missouri) – Honna stood out to many at the Music City Showdown. Here’s what our very own Mason Asher had to say about Honna:
2024 5’10 F Honna Brown has been solid so far this morning. She is active around the glass and has shown to be a very effective finisher. Can make shots off balance and has the ability to get to the rim. @southeastdynas1
— Mason Asher (@MasonHAsher) May 2, 2021
Mason is spot-on here as Honna has versatility and good size for her position as well. Ability to score as a great finisher. A very strong rebounder, that If she gets her hands on the ball, she’ll most likely secure it. Comes up with 50/50 balls.
Strengths:
- Positioning size and versatility
- Finishing ability
- Motor
- Quick feet
- Crashes boards
- Sprints floor
