Juliette Fillion, 2022, BC Denver 2022 Gold. The club based out of Denver has some talented wing/forwards. One being Juliette Fillion. The 6’2 slasher can create things off of instinct. She reads the defense well and plays it to her advantage. Throughout the tournament, Fillion came off down screens, curls and flex options to get open. She was really effective.
Maggie Dooley 2022, BC Denver 2022 Gold. 6’5 is just that 6’5! Dooley’s no stiff though. Paired with other footers on the BC Denver squad, Dooley caused assignment issues for opponents. Any time the lineup went big, which was a lot, Dooley found herself with single matchups. She would take advantage of them, every time.
Serena Heeran, 2024 Nebraska Lasers Supreme 2024 Gold Athletically one of the better forwards in the 15u division. Heeren was a force in the pick and roll action. She set hard screens rolled with force and finished nearly everything. She was an effective passer from the block. Anytime she was double teamed, she found shooters or the cutter. The high-low, off-ball cutting and dives come easy for her.
Malae’ Lacy 2024, Lady Martin Brothers 2024 Select. Lacy was everything for the Lady Martin Brothers. She high pointed rebounds and started the break. She was like a train wreck in transition. No one could keep her in front of them. Not only was it tough to stop her in transition, but also in the half court setting. Lacy made some shots off the dribble. She found her way to corner threes and even showed stationary jab-step work. She unloaded her bag.
Regan Williams, 2024, KC Lady Run GMC 2022 UAA. Williams played hard the entire weekend. She was back and forth from KC Lady Run 2022 and 2023 team. They had some injuries and players that couldn’t make it. Williams was the glue to both squads. Long on defense which allowed her to get in the passing lanes. Scored it with ease on minimum rest. Tip of the hat!
