2022 Rankings Newcomers
In this article:
#7 Sydney Emanuel Sydney Emanuel 5'7" | SG North Bend Central | 2022 State NE – 5’7 SG 2022 – North Bend Central – Class C-1 All-State First Team – Sydney is a major addition to the rankings as a first team All-State selection. She was a key factor in North Bend Central winning a state championship — scoring 25 points and 20 points in the final two games. She played on a fairly stacked roster with two other standouts on the team and still put up 15.6 points per game. Her two-point field goal percentage was 55% and her 3-point percentage being 39%. So she was a highly efficient scorer.

– 6’1 PF 2022 – Bishop Neumann – Class C-1 All-State Second Team – Kali was wearing a brace this past season as she was recovering from a knee injury. This didn’t stop her from averaging 13.5 ppg., 8.2 rpg., while earning All-State honors. She moves extremely well for 6’1 and has some length to her. Runs the floor and jumps well. Has some really nice upside going forward with her athletic ability.
#10 Mariyah Avila Mariyah Avila 5'4" | PG Scottsbluff | 2022 State NE – 5’5 PG 2022 – Scottsbluff -Class B All-State Second Team – Mariyah rounds out the top 10 and is one of my favorite additions to the rankings, as she’s an electric point guard that is very fun to watch. She plays with such speed and quickness that it really makes her standout against the rest. She earned All-State and averaged 11.1 points per game.
#13 Katelynn Oxley Katelynn Oxley 6'3" | C Lincoln Lutheran | 2022 State NE – 6’3 C 2022 – Lincoln Lutheran – Katelynn is a true post and a 4 all at the same time. She has the looks of both — standing at 6’3 and has length.
#16 Erison Vonderschmidt Erison Vonderschmidt 5'11" | PF Falls City Sacred Heart | 2022 State NE – 5’11 PF 2022 – Falls City Sacred Heart – Class D-2 All-State First Team – Erison is a smooth lefty power forward that earned all-state honors in her junior season. She put up some good statistical numbers at 16.3 ppg. and 7.1 rpg.
#18 Masa Scheierman Masa Scheierman 6'1" | PF York | 2022 State NE – 6’1 PF 2022 – York – Masa is known for being on of the best rebounders and shot-blockers in Nebraska. She averaged a whopping 10.7 boards and 3.1 blocks per game. She’s fairly smooth with the ball on the perimeter as well as she can make on-target passes and moves the ball carefully. She averaged 8.6 points per game. She started scoring the ball well late in the year, hitting double-digits consistently. She could easily rise in the rankings.
#19 Addie Kirkegaard Addie Kirkegaard 6'2" | C St. Cecilla | 2022 State NE – 6’2 C 2022 – St. Cecilia – Addie is a true post that was efficient and put up some solid numbers. She was 55% from 2-point FG and averaged 9.3 ppg. She defended well inside and boarded the ball at a 7.9 average.
#25 Rachel Magdanz Rachel Magdanz 5'10" | PG Falls City Sacred Heart | 2022 State NE – 5’10 PG 2022 – Falls City Sacred Heart – Class D-2 All-State Second Team – Rachel is a big, tall, and long point guard for Sacred Heart. She earned all-state honors and scored 10.0 points per game.
#27 Shanae Bergt Shanae Bergt 5'9" | PG Lincoln Lutheran | 2022 State NE – 5’9 PG 2022 – Lincoln Lutheran – Very high on Shanae as a long point guard with movement and speed. She’s the lead guard on a good team with a balanced attack. She’s a playmaker and will use her length off the drive. She could easily be higher in the future.
#29 Karley Heimes Karley Heimes 6'0" | SF Wynot | 2022 State NE – 6’0 Wing 2022 – Wynot – Class D-2 All-State Second Team – Karley is a long wing prospect that put up 12.7 ppg. and 7.8 rpg. this past season. She’s a slasher that can get to the hoop and defends well on a wing.
#33 Ella Wragge Ella Wragge 5'10" | SF Crofton | 2022 State NE – 5’10 SF 2022 – Crofton – I was able to see Ella quite a bit this Spring playing for United Sports Academy 2022. She’s a versatile prospect in that she can play multiple positions and guard multiple spots. A wing that moves well, can finish inside, in transition, and can hit a three.
#39 Taylor Luben Taylor Luben 5'6" | PG Wahoo | 2022 State NE – 5’6 PG 2022 – Wahoo – Taylor is a pass-first point guard with great speed and quickness. Handles the ball well and was a floor general this Spring for Nebraska Attack.
