Eanae Dagons is a five-foot-three point guard for Desert Vista High School in Phoenix. She also plays for her grassroots team, Arizona Elite. She is rated as the top point guard prospect in Arizona for the class of 2024. Playing as a freshman for new Head Coach Dave Williams, Eanae led the team in scoring with an average of 14.4 points per game. In the 6A Central Conference, the Lady Thunder finished with a 12-5 overall record and 7-3 in their division. She was the starting point guard as a freshman. Coach Williams believes, because of her speed and aggressiveness, Dagons will do fine and he knows she will continue to grow and improve.
Eanae has played in many tournaments with her club team and was one of the top performers in the Arizona Preps Summer Clash. One scout had this to say about her game. ” She is a lightning bolt on the court but has control of her greatest asset, which is speed. She is probably the fastest player from baseline to baseline. Eanae has really put in the effort to learn the game and it is showing. She should have e a great career at Desert Vista running the offense for Dave Williams.” She enters her sophomore season later in the summer.
Meisha Caserio Meisha Caserio 5'4" | PG Gilbert | 2024 State AZ is a five-foot-four point guard for Gilbert High School. She also plays for her grassroots team, Arizona Elite 15U. She led the Lady Tigers in scoring last season, averaging 13.4 points per game along with 3.3 assists and 2.4 steals. Gilbert finished with an overall 13-7 record and 5-3 within Conference 5A. The Lady Tigers lost in the state tournament to Flowing Wells, 51-41, even though Meisha finished the game with 14 points, four rebounds, and two assists. Playing for Head Coach Colton Walker, she won five different Player of the Game awards as selected by Max Preps in February and March. She was also selected as the AZCentral Performer of the Week (February 8-13) by pouring in 27 points on 53% shooting in a 55-27 win over Glendale Ironwood.
Meisha’s dad, Jay Caserio, is the Head Coach for the boy’s team at Gilbert. Coach Walker also coaches for the Arizona Elite. She was recognized as a member of the First Team All-Conference and made Honorable Mention in the Sports360AZ All-Academic Girls Basketball Team (4A-6A). Here weighted GPA is 3.87. One scout thought that “Meisha has established herself as one of the hardest working defenders and is constantly growing as a point guard.” She is only a sophomore to be.
Isabella Majaracon is a five-foot-five point guard who plays for Deer Valley High School. She also plays for her club team, Arizona elite 15U. She is rated as the third-best point guard in the class of 2024. As a freshman, Izzy averaged 9.1 points per game, 3.5 rebounds a game, and 3.8 steals per game. She also shot 62% from the floor. The Lady Skyhawks finished 15-4 overall and 8-2 in their division. Playing for Head Coach Amy Almazan, Izzy was selected on the All-West Valley Third Team by the Daily Independent.
Izzy played in both the AZGR Rising Stars Camp last September as well as the Arizona Top 250 Expo. One scout had this to say about her game while playing for Arizona Elite. “She displayed a good motor and sense of purpose. She always puts in the work at the defensive end as she is intent on not getting beat off the dribble from the opposing guards. She also displayed good court awareness and she is as true of a point guard that you will ever see coming into high school.”
Nakyah Williams is a five-foot-two point guard for the Paradise Honors High School Lady Panthers. Her club team is Team Daylight. Last season PHHS finished with an overall 11-7 record and 7-3 in their conference. As a freshman, Kyah had an outstanding season – 14.3 points per game, 5.0 assists, 3.9 rebounds, and 4.1 steals. She also shot 59% from the floor. In a 70-49 win over Peoria, she had a double-double: 19 points, 10 steals, nine rebounds, and seven assists. From mid-January to early March, she was selected Player of the Game by Max Preps a total of nine different times.
Kyah was selected to the third team, All-West Valley, by the Daily Independent. One scout had these comments about her game. “She is one of the smaller point guards in the class of 2024. She uses her size as an advantage, though, at both ends of the court. Kyah is extremely hard to keep out of the paint and is a good decision maker. She is a terror on the defensive end, recovers quickly, and prevents the other team’s point guard from penetrating the paint. She also does well at playing the passing lanes.” As she starts her sophomore year, Kyah is only going to improve as a player.
Ava Pautz Ava Pautz 5'11" | SF Notre Dame Prep | 2024 State AZ is a five-foot-eight point guard/wing who plays for Notre Dame Prep in Scottsdale. In her first regular season game last January, Ava had a double-double against Peoria. She had a game-high 17 points along with 10 rebounds in a 58-46 win. She was selected as Player of the Game by Max Preps. Playing for Head Coach Dell Mimms, Alicia made First Team, All-Region and Ava made the Second Team, All-Region. She started on the varsity team right away and one scout referred to Ava as ” very tough on-ball defense against opposing dribblers.” She is ready, as a sophomore, for a breakout year.
