The 2nd annual Elevate Your Game Tournament is perfectly placed before the Memorial Day weekend. With Consistency and growth, it could be that tournament that teams use in the future to get a tune-up before several big memorial day tournaments coming up this weekend. With a Virginia team hosting this event you know Virginia was well represented and here are a few girls that stood out!
This kid seems to be getting better by the day! She is a throwback point guard but I think she has the potential to be an elite scorer.
Such a young player I love her trajectory and her development so far. I won’t be surprised if she starts getting lot’s of coaches’
attention now until July!
Caitlyn Jones 5’8 CG 2025 Boo Williams
Fast and quick shifty with the ball! Only in the 8th grade, she dominated the competition with her full repertoire of moves. Will have lots
momentum heading into July already with a offer under her belt! With good size, we will see if she will grow anymore because she’s so
young but no matter what she up next!
Alary Bell 6’2 P 2023 Elevate Elite 16U SSB
Very consistent weekend she looks like she’s fit in with her new program. Her physical presence is a game-changer, played against
a kid much taller kid (6’5) from Western PA Bruins in one game. Coming off the bench she was the difference with her presence, 8
points 8 rebounds which include a three-pointer, and a nice jump shot from top of the key I think with a little bit more chemistry she
will be even more productive.
Ava Johnson 6’1 PF 2025 Boo Williams
Her team usually does not play at the eighth-grade level but they did and they dominated. Ava is a good-looking prospect she has
great size and length and can knock down the three! The more I see her I think she can make the switch to playing the wing full-time.
But worst-case scenario with some more development and height growth she has the potential to be a great stretch four. Time will tell
but only in the 8th grade, she has time and room to grow tremendously!
Yvonne Lee 5’5 PG 2022 Germantown Lady Panthers Rise 17U
She a very quick skilled guard who displayed good ball-handling ability and ball control while running the offense. Has the presence of mind to get the team in an offensive set and the awareness to use a screen and put up from three! She was very impressive this weekend and her team’s 4-0 records reflex so.
Kennedy made the jump from Boo Williams last year to Fairfax Stars this year. Which was seems to pay off so far as she picked up her 1st offer. Assuming the point guard role it’s a perfect fit for her to run to the team and develop and play and get some more attention from more college coaches.
