Points Guards to Watch

<p class="p1">These point guards have already been showing off their talents this summer and should certainly be on schools’ radar come this July.</p> <p class="p1"><b>[player_tooltip player_id="221937" first="Emma" last="Larios"] | Team Carolina Harrell | 2023</b></p> <p class="p1">Larios does a great job grabbing steals for her team and finding her open teammates right away making cuts on fast breaks.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>In set offenses, she is a true floor general making sure her teammates go where they need to, and she knows the importance of timing when it comes to making her own passes and cuts to the basket.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>She’s an excellent ball handler breaking many presses on her own, and she finds many opportunities to show off her shot from all areas of the court.</p> <p class="p1"><b>[player_tooltip player_id="221934" first="Faith" last="Robertson"] | Greensboro Lady Gaters Select | 2023</b></p> <p class="p1">Robertson does a good job letting plays develop and throwing her passes where her teammates are moving to.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>She can attack the basket herself putting up shots around the rim to score.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>She has a nice shot from downtown as well.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>She does an excellent job in transition making great passes at full speed to her teammates.</p> <p class="p1"><b>[player_tooltip player_id="285935" first="Anya" last="Massey"] | Wilmington Excel | 2023</b></p> <p class="p1">Massey (pictured above) can knock down some three point shots, and she doesn’t shy away from doing so right in front of her defender.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>She does a great job seeing the floor finding her open teammates, and she draws defenders towards her to make it easier for others to score.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>Standing at 5’11” helps her to see over her opponents as she controls the ball and the tempo for her team.</p> <p class="p1"><b>Kayla Lee | 1Dream | 2024</b></p> <p class="p1">Lee is an excellent ball handler finding ways to push it up the court.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>She sees the floor very well getting her teammates involved by waiting for the perfect time to make her passes.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>She has a nice jab step that she uses to throw off her opponents and show off her shot which she knows how to drain from downtown.</p>
