All four of these girls have proven themselves over the last few tournaments and especially caught our eye this weekend. Things start to click at different times for basketball players and its important to keep a good work ethic and remain confident in one’s ability if you want to get better. As the summer goes on we will continue to watch these four.
Alex McNeill Alex McNeill 5'5" | PG Minneapolis North | 2022 State MN – E1T1 2022
The skilled combo guard from Minneapolis North had a really good tournament this weekend, scoring in double digits in all three games. She helped her team win the third place game knocking down four threes and ending with 18 points. She was also the overall leading scorer in the Gopher Division. She can do it all, both at the rim and from beyond the arc.
Jada Bierschbach Jada Bierschbach 5'6" | CG Rocori | 2023 State MN – Central Swish 2023
The 5’4 guard from Rocori plays with passion and heart. She is one of the fastest kids I’ve seen and can beat almost anyone when she attacks the hoop. She’s really good at attacking the hoop and creating contact where she gets herself to the free-throw line quite a bit. In the 5th place game she went off and helped her team clinch the win. She ended the game with 27 points, with 20 from the field and 7 from the free-throw line. She was the leading scorer in the Badger Division.
Bella Sutch Bella Sutch 6'0" | SF Spring Lake Park | 2024 State MN – Crossfire 2024 Schuck
She’s tough and gritty and plays with energy. She is a 6’0 forward who can rebound the ball like no other. She positions herself in the right spot, at the right time, to get put-back buckets from offensive rebounds. This weekend she scored the ball really well around the rim. She is skilled from all positions and can guard multiple positions on defense as well.
Camryn Dennin – Metro Stars 2025
The point guard has been getting better each tournament we watch her play. She has a pretty shot and her mid-range game is nice. She can pull up off the dribble or catch and shoot in rhythm. She helped her team get the third place finish playing one of her best games yet, hitting 16. She should continue to shoot the ball with confidence.
