She has already had feelers from Stanford, Oregon, and Connecticut.
ESPN’s evaluation of Mia is that “…she is athletic with the ability to manufacture her shots, delivers consistently in her mid-range game, physical off the dribble and drives and finished plays in traffic. She is also consistent from the charity stripe.” Another scout said that Mia makes players around her better. “She is well-rounded fundamentally and a solid performer with a lot in her offensive bag. She is also a strong and active rebounder that is not afraid to mix it up.”
Miyah Verse is a 6-foot shooting guard for Arizona Elite Prep. She also plays for her club team, Arizona Elite, and is a recent transfer from Flagstaff High School. As a freshman, she averaged 13,5 points per game and 9.2 rebounds. As a sophomore, the respective numbers were 13.2 and 9.8. One scout referred to Miyah “…as explosive on both ends of the court and one of the top elite athletes on the West Coast. Her game is still improving but the potential is there and the ceiling high. She should be a national-level player as a junior.” Another scout had this to say about Miyah. “She has good size in the perimeter with good leaping ability. Her shooting, defensive talent, and finishing skills at the rim set her up as a rising prospect. She can draw fouls when she attacks the paint because defenders have to respect her shooting.”
Miyah has already been recruited by UNLV, Hampton, Arizona State, Yale, Eastern Michigan, Washington State, North Texas, and the University of California at Santa Barbara. The potential full scholarship offers will continue to grow throughout her junior and senior years of high school.
