Standout guard Jada Williams Jada Williams 5'6" | PG La Jolla Country Day | 2023 State #6 Nation CA of Blue Springs and forward Grace Slaughter Grace Slaughter 6'1" | CG Grain Valley | 2023 State MO of Grain Valley were selected to the 12-member USA Basketball U16 team after a two-day tryout session last weekend in Colorado Springs.
Williams and Slaughter will be playing with the USA Team that will compete in the FIBA Americas U16 Championships, which will be held in Santiago, Chile from August 16-22. Both standouts were Prep Girls Hoops Missouri All-State selections in both their freshman and sophomore years. Williams, a 5’7″ point guard, has given a commitment to UCLA while the 6’2″ Slaughter has already committed to Missouri.
Congratulations to these two talented young ladies on earning the opportunity to represent the country with the national team.
