If you were fortunate to be eyed by one of our writers, your name was added to the rankings list this session and we will continue to see you on the circuit. Again these list are a collection of evaluations of writers on our California circuit, one of us have seen them play and we are giving these girls some highlight in our rankings this session.
2023, 6’3, CG/SF, Rocklin HS (CA), Cal Stars Red 17U EYBL, Mary Carter Mary Carter 6'3" | PF Antelope | 2023 State CA – Mary can shoot the three ball, along with that she can score from all three levels on the court. She is uncanny, she is a right handed player that drives left all of the time and she is one that really knows how to use her body size. Bodies are flying all over the place when she drives to the basket, get out of the way they might be saying on the court. Impressed with her ability to drive to the rim…
2023, 5’9, SF, Dos Pueblos HS, Eva Delgado Eva Delgado 5'9" | SF Dos Pueblos HS | 2023 State CA – Delgado is another player that stood out for her defensive play. She’s also a wing defender. She slides her feet well and keeps pace with the ball-handler. She’s slight and slim but she can be active on the glass. She gets in there and crashes the boards when a shot goes up. Floor spacer who likes to drift to the corners; catch and shoot. Looks to make the right play whether it’s to take a shot or make a pass.
2023, 6’0, SF, Westview HS, Alexa Litchev Alexa Litchev 6'1" | SF Westview | 2023 State CA – Litchev’s height, length, and versatility allow her to do a bit of everything on both ends of the floor. Offensively, Litchev proved she can score in a variety of ways. She has solid footwork, can put her back to the basket or square up when operating in the paint, she’s an active slasher who knows how to relocate to put herself in scoring position, and she’s unselfish with the ball. Defensively, Litchev’s height and length enable her to guard multiple positions, switch on screens, and pick up the ball in transition. Additionally, Litchev can rebound the ball exceptionally well on both ends of the floor, she has a decent handle for a forward, and she fights on position on the offensive end of the floor.
2023, 5’11, SF, Vista Murrieta HS, Makenna Ching Makenna Ching 5'11" | SF Vista Murrieta HS | 2023 State CA – Similar to Carter and Litchev, Rutledge and Ching are teammates and play under Coach Alison Rutledge for Evolution Elite. During the high school basketball season, the pair compete against one another and attend rival schools. Rutledge and Ching appear to have great on-court and off-court chemistry. Ching is a vocal leader on the floor who has great hands. She’s always active on the defensive end and plays the passing lane exceptionally well. If there is a pass within her vision and reach, you can bet that her hands will at least tip the ball, if she doesn’t steal it completely. Offensively, Ching has a nice-looking shot, she knows how to get the defender off of their feet and out of position, and she can finish around the rim.
2023, 5’3, PG, JSerra Catholic HS, Jessica Bakhsh Jessica Bakhsh 5'4" | PG JSerra Catholic | 2023 State CA – She is a terror on the floor, she was injured at this camp, but she participated in the skills and drills and took it like a champ. She is a crafty little guard and can shoot the ball from the midrange and three point line, she is quick and athletic, we will have to see her play after she is released from injury. She wanted to play so bad, but we advised her to sit out due to a concussion she had suffered earlier in the week.
