7 Solids From The Summer Sizzler

The LBI Summer Sizzler tipped off in Grand Rapids yesterday. The MSA Fieldhouse was buzzing with high level athletes and coaches taking in the action. I noticed 7 very solid performances from players at the event. Ella Burger (2022, SG, Tri-County Hoopers 2022, Macomb Dakota) Burger (along with backcourt mate  Lina Rea Lina Rea PG Utica | 2022 State MI ) sparkplugged an impressive win over OLH Impact 2022/2023. She ended the game with 20 points. Eva Dodds Eva Dodds 5'8" | SG New Prairie | 2023 IN (2023, PG, Tipping Point 2023, New Prairie High School) Dodds had a dominating opening to the LBI Summer Sizzler. She had 22 points in a victory over the Michigan Mystics Henke. Dodds has shown the ability to put points on the board as well as initiate the offense with a pass. Ryan Moorer Ryan Moorer 5'9" | SG Madison Heights Bishop Foley | 2024 State MI (2024, SG, Tri-County Hoopers 2023, Madison Heights Bishop Foley) I continue to be consistently impressed with Ryan Moorer Ryan Moorer 5'9" | SG Madison Heights Bishop Foley | 2024 State MI 's game. She's always played an intelligent and mature game. This allows efficient scoring outings like one yesterday. Moorer had 18 points in a win over Always 100 Prime 2023. Emily Putnam (2024, SG, REAL 2023/2024, Central Montcalm) Putnam is a prospect to watch as the event continues. Her team may have been defeated, but Putnam definitely impressed with her play. She had 14 points in the defeat, but I liked her ability to manufacture points and her aggressiveness in getting at the ball. Chloe Watson Chloe Watson 5'7" | SG Hemlock | 2023 State MI (2023, SG, REAL 2022/2023, Hemlock) Watson's game was one of the most impressive on opening night of the LBI Summer Sizzler. She excelled when the ball was in her hands and she could create. Watson had a hand in over half of her teams points in a 48-41 win over Michigan Mystics Black. She ended the game with 22 points and 4 assists. Chloe Wieger Chloe Wieger 5'7" | PG Lake Orion | 2023 MI (2023, G, PR1DE 2023, Lake Orion) Wiegers impressed with her complete all around game and total performance. She contributed in basically every category. Wiegers finished with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 assists in a win over Always 100 Prime 2023. Kendal Zeiter Kendal Zeiter 6'2" | PF Troy | 2022 State MI (2022, PF, Tri-County Hoopers 2022, Troy) Zeiter was impressive in a tough loss to C2K Thunder Black. She led her team with 19 points. Once again, she impressed me with her ability to score in so many different ways. Zeiter's versatility is a tremendous asset.
