2025 5’5″ PG #3 Tierra Owens (Team Tulsa Purple)
Owens is Team Tulsa’s backup point guard that is very skilled and deadly behind the arc. She was able to keep her team in the game with her big shots and intense pressure on the defensive end of the floor. Tierra is cool, calm, and collected at all times, even when she is flying around the court looking for the trap. Fun player to watch.
2025 5’9″ PG # 9 Janiyah Williams (Arkansas Banshees Sadler)
There isn’t enough time to say all of the positive things I have to say about Janiyah’s ability to play basketball. She is a high-energy player that is involved in every offensive possession for her team with a LOT of gas in her tank. Can easily get to the rim for lay-up or to draw the foul, but if you need the ball to slow down and reset, get it to Williams. High D1 potential with an extremely high basketball IQ.
2025 5’6″ SG #11 Brooke Nelson (Ohio Elite 2025)
Everybody in the gym knows that Brooke Nelson is her team’s shooter. She can knock it down from just about anywhere on the court but she also wants to get scrappy on D. Even though she is listed at 5-foot-6-inches, Nelson can get to the rack in-between traffic and draw the foul.
2025 5’8″ PG #13 Tyler Jones (Arkansas Banshees Sadler)
Tyler took over the game that I watched with quick tips to herself for break-away lay-ups and hard-to-beat defense. She was on the floor for just about every loose ball so you could see that she took pride in her defensive skills. On the offensive end, Jones can get the ball up the court quickly and make the right pass. She was able to complete a few flashy passes that really got her teammates and the crowd involved in the game.
2025 5’0″ PG #15 Aniyah Carter (Cincinnati Lady Tigers 2025)
Carter is a small but mighty true point guard that commands the ball on the floor. With her smooth handles and control, she will set up and run each play for her offense directing everyone into the correct position before running it. Has the basketball IQ to spot the open cutter and get the ball into her hands. A tough player that can shoot the three.
2025 6’0″ PF #15 Maiesha Washington (Arkansas Banshees
3SSB)
Washington is a big body that will take up a lot of space down low and make the lane seem a little more congested. She fights HARD around the rim and can draw the contact when finishing at the basket. Has good enough handles to dribble if need be, but after a rebound, she has her eyes up ready to find the outlet. Maiesha was the leading rebounder on both ends of the court while also knocking down a couple of three-balls.
2025 5’6″ PG #23 Kyra Ball (Arkansas Banshees 3SSB)
Kyra was the best defender on the floor in the game that I attended. She was not scared to dive for a loose ball and she was in on the action during both offense and defense. Ball likes to bait the other’s team’s point guard right into her trap, get the steal with ease and get a bucket. Big talker and leader on her team. Always flying around.
***FEATURED PLAYER***
2027 5’9″ PG #32 DMyah Williams (Cincinnati Lady Tigers 2025)
DMyah Williams is a 2027 point guard that really stood out amongst the others in the 2025 division even playing two years up. She is already a long and lanky 5-foot-9-inches with a lot of skill and athleticism. Williams was the quickest player on the floor, with smooth, steady handles and a lot of length. She had all of her teams’ points but one going into the second half. Even being two years younger, she is finishing through her contact at the rim and drawing the ‘and-1’ while still having the ability to pull up and knockdown from outside the three-point line. High BCS potential. This is not a name you will want to forget.
