Mia Davis Mia Davis 6'0" | SG Dream City Christian | 2023 State #12 Nation AZ is a six-foot-one guard and forward for Xavier Prep. She also plays for her club team, BSP. She is the number one rated prospect in Arizona for the class of 2023. Her team went 13-4 last year and 6-2 in their conference. As a sophomore, Mia averaged 11.6 points per game and 4.8 rebounds. As a freshman, she averaged 9.1 points and 4.1 rebounds. Xavier Prep lost to state champion Villa Vista in the semifinals of the 6A tournament last March by a score of 54-46. She was voted Player of the Game a total of five different times over the last two years by Max Preps.
In a win earlier this year, Mia scored 29 points in only three quarters against Chandler High School, She has already received interest from Connecticut, Stanford, and Oregon. One scout had this to say about her game. “She is an athletic guard who manufactures shots, delivers consistently in her mid-range game, and offers a three-point game threat. She is also physical off the dribble, drives and finished plays in traffic, and is consistent at the charity stripe.”
Earlier this spring, Mia transferred to Dream City Christian coached by her father, Prileu Davis. He is a former player and basketball trainer. DCC will be playing a national schedule called the Grind Session. This summer she will be playing a full schedule for Basketball Science Prep 16U.
Miyah Verse is a six-foot shooting guard now enrolled at Arizona Elite Prep in Gilbert. She also plays for her club team, Arizona Elite. Miyah is ranked as the second-best shooting guard in the state for the class of 2023. She played for two years at Flagstaff High School and then transferred to Arizona Elite Prep. As a freshman, she had a career-high 28 points in a playoff win over Coconino. She averaged 13.5 points per game as a freshman and 9.7 rebounds. As a sophomore, her numbers were 13.2 and 9.8. She is being recruited by UNLV, Hampton, Arizona State, Yale, Eastern Michigan, Washington State, North Texas, and California-Santa Barbara.
Miyah is ranked #55 by ESPN in its national rankings for the class of 2023. One scout summed up her game,” She has good size on the perimeter, serious leaping ability, and an emerging skill set. Her shooting, ability to defend, and finishing skills at the rim set her up as one of her class’ top rising prospects. Miyah can draw fouls when she attacks the basket because defenders have to respect her shooting. She has a relentlessly slashing type of game on the offensive end and her speed, explosiveness, and willingness to defend project very well at the next level.”
Kiley Sours Miller Kiley Sours Miller 6'3" | C Dream City Christian | 2023 State AZ is a six-foot-two center for Centennial High School in Peoria. The Coyotes were 5-12 last season and 4-6 in their conference, Kiley, as a sophomore, averaged 16.6 points per game along with 16.2 rebounds and 3.2 blocks. As a freshman, she averaged 16.4 points, 17.9 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks. In her first game as a freshman, she shot 16-17 from the floor for 34 points to go along with 20 rebounds. A double-double in her first game.
Kiley was awarded Player of the Game by Max Preps a total of 16 times between December 2019 and February 2020, She also shot 62% from the floor as a freshman. Her Head Coach Prayer Branham had this to say about her game. “In the next five to ten years, Kiley will be a star. I truly believe she will be going to play at the collegiate level and I think she will have options. She is going to be able to decide where she wants to go based on her work ethic. If she maintains good grades, she is going to be a heck of a player.”
Hannah Young Hannah Young 6'0" | PF Valley Vista | 2023 State AZ is a six-foot power forward for Xavier College Prep in Phoenix. She also plays for her grassroots team, Arizona Select, She recently played in the Diamond Classic and one scout commented on her play. “She moved extremely well as she is working her way back into basketball shape (from a knee injury). Word in basketball circles is that Hannah will be s big-time player.” Playing in the 6A premier conference for Jennifer Gillom, Hannah averaged 2.9 points per game and 4,2 rebounds as a sophomore.
Last March, the Lady Gators lost in the state tournament to eventual champion, Valley Vista, by a score of 54-46. Xavier finished with an overall 13-4 record. In 2021, Hannah made Honorable Mention in the 6A Conference per AZPreps365. Xavier Prep has the distinction of winning more state championships – boys and girls – than any other high school in the United States. With Hannah now completely healthy and a loaded team returning, the Gators can potentially add two more in 2022 and 2023.
