No one has raised their stock more in the last months than Jazmine Jackson Jazmine Jackson 5'7" | PG Jackson HS | 2022 State FL (2022 Andrew Jackson). In the final game of the National Championship, she was magnificent. Jackson led all players with 21 points, 3 threes, and some beautiful open-court finishes. Jackson just glides on the court and then she can accelerate on the court in a split second. Jackson also was solid on defense. On multiple times she used her speed and quickness to intercept passes and stop drives to the basket.
Janiyah Jackson Janiyah Jackson 6'2" | C St Augustine | 2022 State FL (2022 St Augustine) came to play on the final day of the National championship well . Jackson used her length to rebound and create easy shots for herself. A few times she even attacked the basket to score. Jackson was impressive on getting offensive rebounds and getting to loose balls. A few times she did a good job of tipping the ball until she could secure it. In the semifinals, blocked 3 shots in 3 possessions. She showed good hands on catch and shoots and showed good footwork to position herself for easy shots under the rim. In the finals, Jackson stepped it up with a special performance scoring 10 points, grabbing nearly 15 rebounds, blocking shots, and getting timely buckets.
Tai Baldwin (2022 University Christian) continued to show the quicks on the court. In one flurry on the final day, Baldwin ripped a player and started a fastbreak, stepped in the passing lanes on the next possession, blocked a shot a few possessions later, and then attempted to take a charge with no regard for personal safety. She played great defense on the final day, playing the passing lanes, and great on-ball defense. I can’t count the number of times Baldwin hit the boards and came up with offensive rebounds and putbacks. Offensively, Baldwin did a great job of coming off screens at the top of the key. Her speed to the rim was an offensive weapon the entire tournament. She racked up some nice finishes and assists in this offensive set.
Dyllan Hanna (2022 Bartram) was a force during the final day of the National Championship. She blocked shot after shot and those she didn’t block she changed. A few blocks were forceful enough to send the offensive player flying as well. Each time Hanna helped the defenders to their feet. In the semifinals, Hanna was also a force on offense, scoring 17 points in the paint. Hanna entered Orlando on the heel of several major D-1 offers and will see more after her performance in Orlando.
