Kennedy Basham Kennedy Basham 6'7" | C Pinnacle | 2022 State #16 Nation AZ is a six-foot-seven center for PHH Prep who led the Fire to the first-ever national championship for girls basketball in the prestigious Grind Session. Last December she transferred from Phoenix Pinnacle to PHH Prep. She is the number one recruited center in Arizona and ranked #28 in ESPN’s top 60 players for the class of 2022. She was voted Defensive Player of the Year and this past January had a triple-double (14 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists) in a 62-47 win over the Vegas Bulldogs. She also plays for her club team, Arizona Select.
Kennedy has been offered full scholarships to a number of colleges including Oregon, UCLA, Arizona, Washington, Colorado, Kansas, and the University of Pennsylvania. One scout had this to say about her. “Her ability to protect the rim, hit the three-point shot, and play with her back to the basket set her apart. She is one of the nation’s top-recruited centers.” Another scout commented on her game. “Kennedy runs the court like a guard prospect – fluid and agile. She is physically built like a runway model. Basham’s impact on women’s basketball over time could lead the young lady to stardom throughout her basketball career. She will be a game-changer for many college programs.”
In addition to her basketball accomplishments, Kennedy is also an outstanding volleyball player. In two years at Pinnacle High School, she had 118 kills and 81 total blocks. She will be playing with her club team throughout the summer before she begins her senior year at PHH Prep.
Jennah Isai Jennah Isai 5'11" | SF Valley Vista | 2022 State #39 Nation AZ is a six-foot wing who plays for Valley Vista High School as well as two club teams, the Cal Stars, and Arizona Select. The Monsoon has won four of the last five state titles in the 6A Division. Jennah only played in four games last season due to a meniscus tear of her knee in early February. Valley Vista finished 17-1 and Jennah averaged 13.5 points per game as well as 4.0 rebounds and 4.3 steals. Over three years and 25 games, she averaged 16.4 points per game, and, as a freshman, she shot 51% from the floor. Her father. Ben, coaches the Valley Vista boys team.
Jennah is rated among the top 50 prospects for the class of 2022. She recently announced she will attend Oregon after receiving offers from a number of schools including Mississippi State, UCLA, North Carolina, LSU, and California. One scout commented on her game. “She is a strong, agile. perimeter performer and has a quick first-step attack and delivers with a feathery touch in her mid-range game. She stretches the defense to the arc, battles on the glass, and both handles and dishes in uptempo.”
Another scout had this to say about Jennah. “She is an agile perimeter prospect with versatility and has a scorer’s mentality. She handles the ball well and scores consistently in traffic. She rebounds well and delivers coast-to-coast.” She will be playing club ball throughout the summer with her knee 100% healthy.
Trayanna Crisp Trayanna Crisp 5'7" | CG PHH Prep | 2022 State AZ is a five-foot-seven guard who plays for PHH Prep as well as Arizona select, her club team. As a freshman and sophomore, she helped Millennium High School win back-to-back 5A State Championships. She then transferred to PHH Prep and won a national championship as Grind Session Champions. Trayanna is the number one ranked guard in Arizona for the class of 2022. She recently committed to Arizona State.
As a sophomore at Millennium, she averaged 14.8 points a game. 4.2 rebounds, and 3.6 steals. That year her team went 26-4 and 10-0 in their conference. In 55 games over two seasons – as a freshman and sophomore – Trayanna averaged 12.3 points. As a freshman, she averaged 9.7 points a game. Millennium won their third straight title last March without her. Going into her last year of high school, she is primed for a breakout season.
Jaida Brooks Jaida Brooks 5'7" | CG PHH Prep | 2022 State AZ is a five-foot-seven guard who plays for PHH Prep in Phoenix. She also plays for her grassroots team, Arizona Select. Playing a national schedule, PHH Prep won the girls’ national championship this past season and finished with an overall 40-3 record. Jaida is the number two ranked guard in the state of Arizona for the class of 2022. PHH Prep has six Division I commitments on its roster.
Jaida recently committed to San Diego State. She transferred from Mountain Pointe High School to Desert
Vista while a sophomore. As a freshman at Mountain Pointe, she averaged 14.8 points a game along with 2.6 assists, and 2.7 steals. Because of AIA transfer rules, she had to sit out part of the season. Ray Patche, her former head coach at Desert Vista, had this to say about Jaida. “She is one of the top players in the state and makes the players around her better.” Her ceiling has no limits as she enters her senior year at PHH Prep.
Lexi McNabb Lexi McNabb 5'6" | CG Lincoln Prep (Canada) | 2022 State AZ is a five-foot-seven guard for Seton Catholic Prep in Chandler. She also plays for her grassroots team, Arizona Select. Her team won the 4A State Championship last March, defeating Salpointe Catholic, 70-62. Lexi scored 19 points in the title game. The Sentinels finished with an overall 20-1 record as she ended the season scoring 13.4 points per game along with 2.8 assists and 2.3 steals. In 81 games over her three years at Seton Catholic, her scoring average has increased – it was 5.1 as a freshman, 10.9 as a sophomore, and 13.4 this past season as a junior.
One scout had this to say about Lexi’s game. “She is an impressive mid-major/plus high school prospect. She has an elite scoring ability from all ranges, defends well, and can control the tempo of the game.” Playing for Head coach Karen Self, Lexi made the Preps365AZ First Team All-Conference in 4A. Earlier this June, Lexi made the All-Tournament team at the Lady Extravaganza Girls Basketball Tournament in Mesa as the Sentinels finished first. Another scout commented on her game. “Lexi can pass with both hands, can hit the three, has a college-ready floater and pick ’n roll game, and will guard for 94 feet.” By the way, Lexi is also a member of the Seton Catholic softball team.
