Teams from multiple shoe circuits as well as several top independent programs came together for an outstanding NCAA D1 viewing period event. Below are just a very small portion of standouts from games that I viewed.
Standouts (Part 1)
2024 F 6’5 Blanca Thomas (Lady Attack Elite) – A big time shot blocker out of North Carolina that runs the floor well and finishes inside very well. Thomas is one of the top rising sophomores in the country and she is just scratching the surface of her potential. She has picked up offers from Marquette and Illinois since Hoosier Heat.
2023 5’7 PG Kymora Johnson (WV Thunder UAA 17u) – One of the best point guards from the event showed why she has so many Division 1 offers. Johnson handles pressure with ease and displays a strong basketball IQ on the floor being able to create her own shot or for teammates.
2023 6’5 C Mallory Collier (FBC United The Family) – One of the most improved post prospects in the country. Collier is a powerful force in the paint. She finished through contact and anchors the paint on the defensive end. Her conditioning has greatly improved from a year ago as well. A true national stock riser.
2024 5’7 PG Jaloni Cambridge (FBC United The Family) – This 5-star point guard recently made the USA U-16 national team and she carried that momentum into the Hoosier Heat terrorizing ball handlers on defense and scoring in transition. Cambridge is very quick and athletic but her ability to change pace sets her apart from many other players. She holds offers from double digit Division 1 schools.
