Teams were visibly tired but still made the best of it and I saw some really good individual performances. Below I share my five standouts from the last day of action.

– 5’10 G – 2023 – Evansville Memorial HS (IN) – IGB 2023 Bradley
Mattingly played really well today and brought her team back for the win almost on her own in their first game today. I thought that she showed really good patience with the ball and knows when to attack the rim. She’s a solid shooter who made a few baskets right in a row. I was very impressed with her once again and I thought that she played very consistently all week long. Mattingly is a leader on both ends of the floor for her team.

– 5’9 PG – 2022 – Ballard HS (IA) – All Iowa Attack Red 2022
Loewe is a very good guard with the ball in her hands as she distributed and scored the ball at a high level today. I thought that she played really well with the ball in transition and always found the open man. She shot the ball really well today from beyond the arc as I saw her nail 3-4 shots pretty quickly. She has really filled out her frame over the past year as well which I think helps her tremendously.

Team Iowa
2023
Sain is a positionless player who really shined in her role today. She was able to hit shots from the perimeter but she was also able to put the ball on the floor and get to the rim. Not only that, but she was able to post up and score over strong players. I think today really showed how valuable Sain is with her versatility on the floor. She really impacted the game on the defensive end as I thought she gave great effort on that end as well.
Zuri Ransom – 5’9 G – 2024 – Evanston Township HS (IL) – Full Package 2023 Black
Ransom had a huge influence on their first game this morning. I thought that she used her athleticism on the floor really well to get the player she was defending sped up. She has really good length and uses that well with her speed. Ransom is a smooth guard who has the ability to throw together a ton of points right in a row. She’s a really tough player to guard and she showed that today as she was able to show flashes of dominance.
Amani Jenkins – 6’1 F – 2025 – Des Moines North HS (IA) – Kingdom Hoops 2024
Jenkins caught my eye once again and she also caught the eyes of college coaches and other evaluators too. She’s a very skilled player who is extremely advanced for her age. She has great anticipation and can block shots with ease. Jenkins is also very skilled with both hands and finishes well at the rim. Today she showed really good footwork on the inside and does have the ability to slow down and gather before making her move. She could be a highly regarded prospect in the 2025 class.
