Kam ’Ren Rhodes is a five-foot-five guard that plays for Campus Prep in Chandler. She also plays for her grassroots team, AZ Supreme. She is rated as the # 41 prospect by the Arizona Republic for the class of 2022. She is the daughter of her new head coach Jamaal Rhodes and averaged 11 points, four assists, four rebounds, and two steals per game last season. Campus Prep finished with a 15-8 record last winter.
Kam was nominated for Player of the Week earlier in February – week six of the regular season – with 17 points, five rebounds, three assists, and three steals in a win over Anchorage Christian School, The season before Kam helped lead Tucson Sabino High School to the 3A state title. At Campus Prep she played a national schedule and her team won the girls’ national championship with a 41-3 overall record. Committed to the University of Dayton, she is primed for an outstanding senior season.
Lexi McNabb Lexi McNabb 5'6" | CG Lincoln Prep (Canada) | 2022 State AZ is a five-foot-five point guard who plays for Seton Catholic Prep in Chandler. She is the daughter of former All-Star NFL quarterback Donovan McNabb but is now making a name for herself. The Sentinels have won back-to-back state championships, having beaten Salpointe Catholic for the 2021 title, 70-62. In the final, Lexi had 19 points, four rebounds, and four assists. Over her first three years – a total of 81 games – she has seen her scoring average increase each season – 5.1 as a freshman, 10.9 as a sophomore, and 13.4 as a junior. She was recently selected to the Lady Extravaganza All-Tournament team.
Lexi plays for Head Coach Karen Self in the 4A Conference. One scout had this to say about Lexi’s game. “She is the truest of point guards, can pass with both hands, hit the three, has a college-level floater. a strong pick ’n roll game and guards for 94 feet. Lexi also has great court vision and plays her best in transition. Her arsenal includes a stop-and-pop jump shot at the elbows, hits corner threes, and has smooth lay-up finishes.” She should have an outstanding senior season.
Kelsey Erickson is a five-foot-five point guard for Shadow Ridge High School. She also plays for her grassroots team, 602 Lady Nation. She was selected first-team All-Conference as a sophomore and Max Preps selected her as Player of the Game a total of six different times during 2019 and 2020. Last season, Shadow Ridge finished 6-13 overall and 1-3 in their conference. Kelsey averaged 12.3 points per game and 3.8 rebounds per contest.
Kelsey also maintains a 4.33 weighted GPA. Her head coach, James Nyman, had this to say about her game. “She is dedicated to her game. She understands the game. Kelsey has a high basketball IQ, dribbles well, and creates space. She also is a good defender and has stepped up as a real leader.” She should come into her own for the 2021-2022 season.
