Smalls Goudeau Smalls Goudeau 5'9" | CG Tahlequah Sequoyah | 2022 State OK | 5-9 CG | Tahlequah / Shock | 2022 | @AlexsyahGoudeau
Smalls has been on fire this summer – for the Shock, her club team and in the offers that she has been receiving. The No. 18-ranked player in the class of 2022 could see that ranking change in the end of summer rankings update after adding to her D-I offer list with the likes of Incarnate Word, SMU and Oral Roberts. Smalls is a heady guard with very good size. She prides herself on her defense and uses it to set the tone for any team that she plays on. She racks up the steals with quick hands and top-notch speed. On the offensive end, she has very good handles to go along with her on-ball speed. She can shoot the lights out as a shooting guard or run the offense as an above average point guard. Smalls remains uncommitted heading into the end of the summer and the start of her senior season at Tahlequah. There is a good chance these won’t be the last offers coming her way.
Grace Goins | 5-9 G/F | Fairland / Fusion | 2022 | @theggoinss
Talk about rising stock, Grace has gone from not being ranked at all in the class of 2022 to getting her first offer this summer. Crowley’s Ridge College in Arkansas offered Goins after seeing her tremendous play with a very good Fusion grassroots squad. She has good size for a guard, though she is most definitely not strictly a guard. She can rebound with the best of them and does a good job defending in the paint as well. When watching tape on Grace, what really stands out is her unbelievable shooting. She gets good extension on her jumper, puts the “hand in the cookie jar” and is willing and able to shoot from anywhere on her side of half-court. If her defender gives any room at all, she is letting it fly – and more often than not, it is going in. Keep an eye on Grace Goins as the summer season closes out and she heads back into her senior year with Fairland – she is a very, very good basketball player.
Kenzli Warden Kenzli Warden 5'10" | SF Tecumseh | 2023 State OK | 5-10 G/F | Tecumseh / OK Swarm | 2023 | @KenzliWarden
About a week ago Kenzli picked up her first offer from Southern Nazarene and it is well deserved. Warden is the No. 24-ranked player in the class of 2023 and I have a note in my spreadsheet that says she needs to move up and may be a top-10 player. I made that note after seeing her in person for the first time as opposed to just seeing video.Warden has very good size and can score from all three levels. She can shoot the three very well and the constant threat of the deep shot causes her defender to hesitate or take a step back. Once given the slightest opening, Warden blows by and goes hard to the rack. She can finish with both hands at the rim and is almost impossible to defend on the drive. With two more years to go and one and a half summers of summer ball, I fully expect more college coaches to take notice of Kenzli and her plethora of abilities. I look forward to getting out to Pottawatomie County this winter and getting another first hand look at Kenzli and her Tecumseh squad.
