Denali Craig Edwards | 2023 | Peoria High School
As a 6’0 wing, Edwards plays her roll perfectly, it seems she does a little bit of everything. She can shoot 3’s consistently and get into the paint and finish through contact. She has a nose for rebounds on both the offensive and defensive ends. Edwards isn’t afraid to push the ball in transition, either. Her court vision is truly what makes her someone to watch, she can distribute the ball well, both in transition and in a half court setting. It’s no surprise she was a Big 12 All-Conference player.
Aaliyah Guyton Aaliyah Guyton 5'6" | PG Peoria | 2024 State IL | 2024 | Peoria High School
Aaliyah Guyton Aaliyah Guyton 5'6" | PG Peoria | 2024 State IL , daughter of A.J. Guyton, a 2000 second round draft pick who played with the Chicago bulls, Golden State, as well as European teams, absolutely lives up to her name. A 5’6” explosive guard who can score at all three levels. She has a plethora of moves in her arsenal, a consistent 3-point shot, a pull up, a mid-range floater, and can finish through contact. She has shifty handles, allowing her to change speeds effectively and push the ball in transition. It’s no doubt that this kid loves to score. It’ll be a pleasure to watch her high school career.
Mya Wardle Mya Wardle 5'7" | PG Peoria Notre Dame | 2024 State IL | 2024 | Peoria Notre Dame
Wardle, a 5’7’ guard who hustles like she’s got bills to pay. It’s obvious that she gives max effort on every single play she’s involved in. She’s comfortable in her right hand and in transition. She often finds herself rebounding hard defensively and then manages to be the first one down the court in transition. Wardle’s decision making is excellent, when pushing in transition, she makes the easy play and in the half court setting she has the wherewithal to read her defender as well as her screener’s defender and distribute accordingly. She averaged 12.6 ppg in the Big 12 conference in 2021 and she’s only going to get better from here.
Kamryn Heider Kamryn Heider 5'8" | CG Richwoods | 2024 IL | 2024 | Richwoods High School
Heider is one of those teammates everyone loves to play with. She has great court vision, like she already knows what her opponent is going to do and she acts accordingly. She has a knack for defense, loves to pick pockets and get out in passing lanes. On offense she is looking to distribute the ball to her open teammates, often successfully threading the needle. Her teammates are often the beneficiaries of her hard work trying to get to the basket. She will contribute in some way every time she touches the ball.
Jada Davis | 2022 | Richwoods High School
Davis, a 5’8” small forward who puts a personal emphasis on defense which she converts to offense. She rebounds hard on both ends of the court and hustles in between. She has a nice three point shot as well as a consistent 15 footer. She passes the ball well and has good court vision.
