Shamya Reid Shamya Reid 5'5" | PG Westfield Prep | 2023 State MI (PG, Hype Athletics, Westfield Prep)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #19
College coaches, you have got to see this young lady play the game. She can lull a defender to sleep, rock them in one direction, then blow by. Reid is slippery with the ball and control her body and shake the defense. She has good lateral movement on both ends of the floor. Quite simply, she’s a next level lead guard. Reid can break down the defense in isolation and create for herself and her teammates.
Jada McCree Jada McCree 5'6" | CG Grand Blanc | 2023 State MI (CG, Michigan Storm Elite, Saginaw Heritage)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #20
McCree has made big strides since last high school season. She has shot the ball at a high percentage from deep and she’s putting it up with confidence. McCree will win a lot of high school games with that scoring acumen. She has developed a reputation as a dedicated hard worker and team player. Whatever college coach ends up with McCree on their roster, will have gem.
Rachel Williams Rachel Williams 5'8" | PF Canton | 2023 State MI (PF, Hype Athletics, Canton)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #30
If you ever wonder why the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit is a must for players and coaches, Williams is a testament to it. I had never seen her play prior to this spring, and boy was I missing out. Williams proved to be one of the top post defenders in the state. She was tough as nails and took on all comers no matter their size or skill level. Trust me, Williams can successfully defend a D1 level post player.
Megan McCalla Megan McCalla 5'11" | PF Chelsea | 2023 State MI (PF, Michigan Mystics , Chelsea)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #62
McCalla is a modern day basketball masterpiece. She is the versatile forward that every coach wants. On defense, she can guard on the perimeter or in the paint. On the other end, McCalla can attack from the paint or draw the defense outside and stretch the floor. She’s a weapon on both ends of the floor, making it tough for a coach to take her out of the game.
Reagan Greene Reagan Greene 6'1" | PF Lake Orion | 2023 MI (PF, Michigan Mystics , Lake Orion)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #71
My advice to college coaches is this: Get in as quick as possible with this young lady. Greene has a nice upside and, in my opinion, will be a highly desired prospect. She rebounds at a high level and isn’t afraid to be physical in the paint. Greene has flaunted soft hands and some touch around the rim as well. I’m looking for her to have a really nice high school season come the winter.
