A true post with exceptional size, finishing ability, soft touch, and ability to knock down a jumper.
Makayla Baughman Makayla Baughman 5'8" | PG Blair | 2022 State NE – 5’8 CG 2022 – Blair – OSA National O’Neil – Makayla was featured in a previous post, and she’s a great addition to the rankings, having next level interest and offers. She’s skilled as ever with the ball and you’re not going to find many ambidextrous passes as skilled as her. Tough when she gets going down the court and is an excellent three-point shooter.
Emma Schweigart Emma Schweigart 6'1" | C Gretna | 2022 State NE – 6’1 C 2022 – Gretna – Emma stands as a 6’1 post, so that makes her a notable addition in itself. She has a long, athletic frame, and moves well on the court. Picks her spots when to post but will post up hard in an instant, sealing her defender. She will roam around on the perimeter a little as well, then cut to an opening and post her defender. Not afraid to fire it up from three either, shooting 41 on the season. Didn’t get enough opportunities to score inside as would have liked but she may become more of a go-to inside presence in her final season. A breakout season wouldn’t be surprising.
Madilyn Siebler Madilyn Siebler 5'10" | SF Omaha Westside | 2022 State NE – 5’10 SF 2022 – Omaha Westside – Montana State (Volleyball) – Madilyn is a highly athletic wing that plays with a ton of energy. Good size and length at 5’10 at the wing spot. Moves with speed and aggression. Active defensively, and is all over the court making her presence felt. Wasn’t a heavy scorer at 6.0 ppg., but impacted the game immensely. Hauled down 5 rebounds per game, 1.4 steals, and 19 blocks on the season.
Olivia Kraft Olivia Kraft 5'6" | SG Omaha Westside | 2022 State NE – 5’6 SG 2022 – Omaha Westside – Olivia is a solid all-around guard that has college offers. Olivia does most of her damage from three making 55 threes on the year with 143 attempts, for an impressive 38% mark. Her three-point shooting alone is what is getting her looks at the next level. Still, solid skills with the ball a smooth a great addition to the rankings.
Grace Schaefer Grace Schaefer 6'0" | SF Bellevue West | 2022 State NE – 6’0 SF 2022 – Bellevue West – Retro Hoops – Grace led Bellevue West in rebounding as a 6’0 wing, with 8.8 per contest. Not overly quick or athletic but plays with constant movement and consistent effort/energy. Also, scored 5.1 ppg. and contributed a block per game. An underrated prospect and a solid addition.
JayVeonna Williams JayVeonna Williams 5'11" | SF Omaha Northwest | 2022 State NE – 5’11-6’0 SF 2022 – Omaha Northwest – Nebraska Hoops Elite – A good athlete in the form of more of a vertical athlete than one with lateral movement. Good size at the wing and uses it well, with 6.9 rebounds a game.
Mya Larson Mya Larson 5'5" | CG Blair | 2022 State NE – 5’5 CG 2022 – Blair – Retro Hoops – Mya is a threat as soon as she crosses half court. Has unlimited range and isn’t afraid to fire it up to test her range either. One of the most deadly three-point shooters in the state, with her range, accuracy, and shooters mindset.
