The first of several stories this week regarding 2023 players who saw their stock rise with the release of the latest rankings. More stories this coming week.
[player_tooltip player_id="157707" first="Sole" last="Williams"], 5-7 Cincinnati Princeton
One of the most talented guard in Ohio regardless of class. She does everything at the next level, has great handles where she can control the tempo of the game and make plays for her team. Great court vision and an elite passer, able to distribute for the easy score. Also can score from inside or out with range and explosiveness to get to the rim.
[player_tooltip player_id="214492" first="Riley" last="Rismiller"], 6-2 Coldwater
Her stock continues to rise as she top post player in the junior class in Ohio. She is an enforcer in the paint, has good hands and able to control the rebound. Also can push the ball out and start transition for her team. Good footwork in the paint., can score around the rim with either hand. Defensively she is able to block or alter shots around the rim. Her D1 offers continue to add up.
[player_tooltip player_id="93548" first="Morgan" last="Hunt"], 5-9 Tri Village
As good as she was last year and as much attention she has received, she is even better as we head into her junior season. I saw her in June in a summer league at Troy, she looked like a different player. She can do it all. Strong on the boards, able to push the ball north-south effectively and finished with ease. Strong physical when she has to be, can also play a finesse game, score from the perimeter or pass up the shot for a better shot for her teammates.
[player_tooltip player_id="93556" first="Rylee" last="Sagester"], 5-7 Tri Village
Like her teammate, Rylee is an impressive guard with next-level skills in many aspects of the game. She has always been known as a great shooter with untouchable range, but the rest of her game continues to improve. She is a true gym rat, always working. Rylee (feature photo above) is a solid passer and can slash to the rim and score if that is what they give her. Very smart basketball IQ.
[player_tooltip player_id="157712" first="Anna" last="Swisshelm"], 5-11 West Clermont
As she makes the move to West Clermont, Anna has always been a player who has drawn a lot of praise from opposing coaches and basketball folks. Love the way she plays the game with poise, she play hard all the time and plays smart. Multidimensional player who can hurt you in many ways. Was key for the Cincy Swish Blue Star team this year, her game will continue to grow.
