South Georgia is a spot of hidden gems. This summer I had the opportunity to see a lot of athletes via exposure tournaments, team camps and high school shootouts. These young ladies led their high school and travel basketball teams throughout the summer. Here are some of the players that stood out in the South Georgia Area.

High energy guard that can score at will. Showed her ability to get to the basket and score through contact. Can jump out the gym and crashes the boards well for her size. Knows how to create her own shot. Plays hard on both ends of the floor. Hidden Gem in Savannah.

Cail is the floor general that gets everything moving. She has great ball handling ability which allows her to blow by her defenders. Watched her play a few times this summer and she can consistently knock down the 3 ball. Awesome court vision and knows how to feed her post players and relocate for her shot. Summer stock riser.

Lee just kept getting better as the summer went on. High Motor athlete that uses her length to her advantage. Has a nice 3 ball which make its tough on her opponents. Knows how to get to the free throw and connect. Plays with fire on every possession. Spark plug. D-1 Prospect.

Young game elevated a lot from last summer. She added the high post jump shot to her game which allows her to get some easy shots around the rim. Attacks the basket strong from the high post and knows how to finish through contact. Never stops working on the boards. Should have a breakout high school season this winter.

Herrin can score at will. Has the ability to score at all 3 levels. Shoots the 3 ball consistently and runs the floor well in transition. Plays hard nosed defense and knows how to get out in the passing lanes. Guard that controls tempo. College Coaches watchlist.

Johnson had a strong showing throughout the summer. Showing her skills at the point guard position. Her great ball handling ability helps her to slice through defenses. Has the ability to finish through contact and step out to shoot the 3 ball. She will will be a huge asset to her team this upcoming season.
