2022
Raven Busby-5’10 SG (Team Lex Loaded) North Forney HS
Busby created her shot with ease, under pressure, and her ability to drop the long ball, either in transition with the “stop and pop” coming off a pick or just elevating and dropping it was nice but her range was unlimited, and seeing her mix it up to also drop the midrange as well as attack the basket was nice
Allie Buchanan Allie Buchanan 6'1" | PF Lake Dallas | 2022 State TX -6’1 PF (TX Platinum 17U Bates) Lake Dallas HS
Buchanan sold me in the 8th grade as I watched her battle and score without anything plays being run for her, either with the putbacks or stealing the ball and scoring that was all DESIRE, one of those intangibles you can’t teach yet so is BATTLING, either for the ball off the rim, on the floor, etc but in this case, through pain and she still managed to put up solid numbers on both ends
Josephina Bruder-6’1 SF (TX Platinum 17U Bates) Plano HS
Bruder is long and athletic, for those who haven’t been paying attention, that is the base I use to evaluate certain profiles, and her ability to create her shot for the pull-up jumper as well as to attack and finish after contact has been consistent every time I saw her yet she also played the passing lane well and rebounded, on both ends
Jada West-6’0 C (SA Lady Hoops Platinum) Brennan HS
West at times has been unstoppable and this was one of those times as she literally scored with players hanging on her which speaks volumes about her strength and power yet she also rebounded very well, got the break going with the outlet several times, and played defense, inside and outside the paint
Macy Hein-5’6 PG (SA Lady Hoops Platinum) Devine HS
Hein creates her shot nicely, showed that all club season but she was very aggressive scoring, either off the dribble and finishing after contact or dropping the mid to long-range jumper. She also handled the ball well, under pressure and made some key passes for assists or passes which led to passes for assists
2023
Calyn Davis-6’0 SG (Team Lex Breeze 2022) Lubbock Cooper HS
Davis just squares up and drops it with hands in her face from, well everywhere. She has a deceptive first step that gets the defender leaning, you have to respect the jumper because she drops it so well yet that enables her to go by the defender for baskets. College coaches love big guards that can shoot, she can definitely SHOOT
player_tooltip player_id=”311902″ first=”Zaadiyah” last=”Stovall”]-5’10 PF (SA Lady Hoops Gold) Judson HS
Stovall with a consistent summer filled with progression just kept finding ways to impress me, either with the pull-up jumper, she’s long and athletic so she gets it off whenever she wants or her acrobatic finishes, sometimes after contact yet her ball-handling was nice, and since she plays the passing lane, that led to baskets going the other way
Chayse Goetz Chayse Goetz 6'0" | SF NB Canyon | 2023 State TX -5’11 SG (SA Lady Hoops Gold) Canyon HS New Braunfels
Goetz GETS IT as she understands how to silently score in double figures by doing it in the flow. She doesn’t force anything yet fills up the stat sheet by doing so many things yet her range, her clutch shooting as well as wanting the ball in the clutch have always been fun for me to see and now she’s attacking strongr=er
Emery Black Emery Black 5'7" | CG NB Canyon | 2023 State TX -5’7 PG (SA Lady Hoops Gold) Canyon HS New Braunfels
Black smoothly gets the job done, she can play the 1 or 2 but her solid ballhandling and heady play plus knowing who to and when to get her teammate the ball, has always been solid, so was her jumper, off the dribble with the pull-up or the stop and pop in transition but she gets to the rim and scores or dishes off for assists
2026
Kamora Pruitt-6’0 SG (Lady Jets Elite Lewis)
Pruitt had me drop the “Just Do It” because this is a player that will EXCEL no matter what PLATFORM she plays on, if you think otherwise, you’re clueless, and being at “the magic number” which is 6’0, elevates over defenders for lay-ups, drops NBA threes and defends baseline to baseline, those are some of the many things she brings to the table
