The 2022 point guard commitment list is on the lighter side right now, but one thing that stands out is its diversity in conference. Rosa Smith Rosa Smith 5'7" | PG Lake Washington | 2022 State WA is the lone PG staying the Pacific Northwest as she heads to play for Idaho in the Big Sky following her senior year at Lake Washington. Jazmyn Stone Jazmyn Stone 5'6" | PG Annie Wright | 2022 State WA from Annie Wright will be playing her college basketball in the Colonial Athletic Association for College of Charleston. This school is located in Charleston, South Carolina for Washington folks unfamiliar with schools in the South. Back up North, but clear across the country from Washington is University of Vermont where Keira Hanson Keira Hanson 5'7" | PG Issaquah | 2022 State WA will be playing her college ball. Vermont competes in the American East Conference in the Northeastern region of the country.
Some more point guards are still expected to make their announcements sooner than later, but the trend so far steers away from the typical recruitment of PG’s from the state playing in the WAC, Big Sky, MWC, Big West or WCC.
