Miya Giles-Jones Miya Giles-Jones 6'1" | SF Terry Sanford | 2023 State NC | Terry Sanford
Giles-Jones (pictured above) continues to shine in her ability to do just about everything on the court. She can post up on the block going against some strong post players. She can also step outside and shoot from deep draining it and showing off her range. She’s an excellent ball handler getting to the basket with ease, and she doesn’t shy away from battling through contact. Her length certainly comes in handy when deflecting passes on defense.
Raniyah Hocutt Raniyah Hocutt 6'3" | C R.J. Reynolds | 2023 NC | Quality Education Academy
Hocutt standing at 6’3” already makes her eye candy for colleges, but what she does with her size is what is really impressive. She is much stronger than most girls her age, so she has no trouble battling in the paint for some points. Her post moves are agile and quick making it very difficult to defend her. She is aggressive going after rebounds, too, and she runs the floor well making sure her opponents don’t have any easy points.
Darrionna Howard Darrionna Howard 6'1" | PF Clayton | 2023 State NC | Clayton
Howard is one of the most versatile players I saw this summer, and colleges like Appalachian State, Elon, and Wofford have certainly been impressed with her play extending offers to her. Her vision of the court is beyond her years knowing when to drive the ball or show off her shot. She is patient when making her moves, and she has an arsenal of ball moves she can use to get her opponents away from her. She crashes the boards going after rebounds, too.
Kirsten Lewis-Williams Kirsten Lewis-Williams 5'10" | CG Lake Norman | 2023 State NC | Lake Norman
Lewis doesn’t seem to like being on defense as she is constantly going after the ball grabbing steals or blocking shots. She goes after rebounds, too, making sure they don’t have second chances. She is aggressive when handling the ball driving right down the middle of the paint showing off spin moves and changes of speed to get by her opponents. She is quick handling the ball knowing when she can push it up the court to her teammates filling the lane for some fast break points.
