Amari Byles-6’2
Byles, I don’t even know where to start because she doesn’t know where to stop and as she keeps adding to her #BCSLock game, it’s scary, for defenders, not me, on what she is on the verge of becoming. She’s long and athletic, for those who don’t pay attention, that’s the base yet her timing is just college ready because she blocks shots at ease, plays the passing lane the same way yet her first step is devastating as she glides while elevating to the rim to finish and that pull-up jumper is to be respected
Amyah Hall-6’3
Hall may not be related to Arsenio or Carnegie yet she’s on the verge of being a hit, that comparison will never get old yet the vast improvement I’ve seen from her since I caught her guest playing in Dallas has been something. She’s toned up and her game has tuned in as she BATTLES for the ball off the rim and watching her follow it gets the #THROWBACK stamped. She’s powerful, finishes with players literally hanging on her and her defense inside the paint has jumped as well as showing she can guard outside the paint as well
Averi Steele-6’1
Steele STOLE the show early, had a minor injury yet STILL made her presence felt. Good hands and footwork with a college-ready frame and the ability to finish after contact with either hand throws her into that #D1Lock group because she’s also over “the magic number” college coaches love. She rebounds on both ends, I really enjoyed her scoring countless times on putbacks but I also enjoyed watching her run the floor on both ends, that’s huge in itself, trust me
SaMiyah Bowers-5’10
Bowers told me she had been putting in work before the 5 on 5 started, no surprise to me because on the court, she falls into that “you won’t outwork me” category and when you don’t mind diving on the floor, sliding on the floor, diving in the stands combined with her frame, the countless players that have received offers to play at the next level on that alone are mind-boggling but she’s finishing powerfully on putbacks, that’s intangible, as well as scoring off the dribble but her rebounding and defense had me SMH
Addisyn Bollinger-5’10
Bollinger has so many stars and stripes on my eval sheet I could make her a flag yet here’s a red flag, she is hard to handle when she has that ball because she can finish from putbacks as well as taking the defender off the dribble to score, with either hand, but here’s the kicker, she handles the ball well and sees the floor while attacking to hit teammates on the money. She rebounds on both ends, you saw the putbacks right, and she faces the basket to drop shots
