Kelian Cedano Kelian Cedano 5'9" | SG Putnam Science | 2024 State NewE – Bradford Christian Academy/Lady Rivals – 5’9’’ – SG
’24 Rank: #3
The defensive intensity and dominant rebounding I saw from Cedano at the Select Events New England Fall Showcase was highly impressive. When she is dialed in on defense, she is arguably the best defender in the ’24 class. Her activity from the weak side was what caught my attention. Using her elite athleticism to jump passing lanes and ignite fastbreak opportunities, Cedano sparked a dominant weekend for the Rivals. Cedano is a brilliant scorer, and if she consistently defends and rebounds at the level she did two weeks ago, you can make a strong case for her being #1.
Jessica Ross Jessica Ross 6'3" | PF Tabor | 2024 State NewE – Tabor/Bay State Jaguars – 6’3’’ – PF
’24 Rank: #5
Watching Ross torment teams at the Nike Tournament of Champions in July was all I needed to see to know she is a top 5 player. Her size alone is a problem, but when you see her rim run, it makes your eyes pop out of your head. Ross is not only dangerous scoring the ball but is an excellent passer. She kicks off transition with on target outlet passes and has great court vision when catching the ball on the block. Ross is a do it all big who can impact the game at a high level on both sides of the ball.
Dani Ceseretti Dani Ceseretti 6'0" | PG Northfield Mt. Hermon | 2024 State NewE – Northfield Mt. Hermon/Bay State Jaguars – 5’11’’ – CG
’24 Rank: #6
After an impressive summer, Ceseretti took a huge leap and landed right outside the top 5 for the September update. Her ability to handle the ball so well at her size and see right over the defense helps her be a dynamic playmaker in the half-court. Ceseretti is so good at getting to the basket, finishing strong, and pulling down tough rebounds on both the offensive and defensive glass. Ceseretti has an excellent feel for the game and is also a hound on defense, constantly making plays. Over the summer, she received offers from URI and Providence, which is just the beginning for the Jaguars combo guard.
Elizabeth Lavoie Elizabeth Lavoie 5'11" | SG Pinkerton Academy | 2024 State NewE – Pinkerton Academy/Team Saints – 5’11’’ – SG
’24 Rank: #10
When I saw Lavoie play at the Select Events New England Fall Showcase, the first thought that went through my head was, “Did Liz get taller?” Lavoie looked like she eclipsed the 6ft plateau, but she could still get to the basket at will no matter her height. Not only that, but I noticed Lavoie has added more dribble pull-ups to her game and has extended her range to the three-point line. Lavoie is battling on the boards more than I have seen, and if she can be a factor on the glass consistently, it is a game-changer.
Jasmine Becotte Jasmine Becotte 5'10" | CG Pelham | 2024 State NewE – Pelham/Team Saints – 5’10 – SG
’24 Rank: #24
Becotte gets better by the week. She was on my list of standouts from the Select Events Fall Showcase because of her shot creation off the dribble. Her mid-range game is more fluid, and she is very comfortable handling the ball in an isolation setting. Over the last few weeks, Becotte has played aggressively and has asserted herself more on offense. She is already a big-time versatile defender; now that she has taken a big jump in her offensive repertoire, she is developing into one of the best two-way players in her class.
Julia Webster Julia Webster 6'0" | PF Bishop Feehan | 2024 State NewE – Bishop Feehan/Mass Mavericks – 6’0’’ – SF/PF
’24 Rank: #27
Webster is one of the best face-up power forwards in her class. I first noticed this in Chicago during the Nike Tournament of Champions, where she scored endlessly from the wing and high post. Webster has good footwork, quickness, and strength to beat most players at her position off the dribble and get to the basket, and also possesses a nice shooting touch. Watching her handle the ball, she looks like a big guard breaking down her defender. Then on the next possession down the court, she will bury the opposition on the block and score with ease.
