Check out our 5 must see seniors and 5 must see juniors below:
Alie Bisballe Alie Bisballe 6'2" | PF Lake City | 2024 State MI (PF, Houghton Lake)
Positionless basketball is all the talk these days, and Bisballe fits this new mold of player perfectly. First of all, she can score from anywhere on the floor, whether it be with her back to the basket in the paint or by burying a jumper from behind the arc. Bisballe rebounds with the best of them, but can also step out on the perimeter and handle and pass like a guard.
Na’kiya Bonner Na’kiya Bonner 5'6" | PG Detroit Edison | 2024 State MI (PG, Detroit Edison)
You’re going to be sorry if you miss her. She’s capable of a showtime moment or highlight every single time she touches the ball. Bonner can absolutely control her defenders with her hip movement and handles. She’s probably one of, if not the toughest, isolation covers in the state.
Jaidyn Elam Jaidyn Elam 5'9" | CG Detroit Country Day | 2024 State MI (CG, Detroit Country Day)
Elam is a very impressive athlete with a keen understanding of the game to go with the physical skills. She always remains calm and levelheaded on the court. Elam has elusive body control and a confident jumper from any spot on the floor. She just moves so fluidly when on the basketball court.
Christian Sanders Christian Sanders 5'7" | PG Detroit Renaissance | 2024 State MI (PG, Detroit Renaissance)
Sanders is a must see this season, especially if you like aggressive length of the floor defense. Sanders is quick as can be in all directions and can start and stop on a dime. She’s one of the most exciting young guards in the state.
Kanyla Tyler Kanyla Tyler 5'10" | SG East Kentwood | 2024 State MI (SG, East Kentwood)
All the tools are there. Tyler has excellent positional height and strength, and the pure athleticism to match. She’s dangerous when out in the open floor and can cover ground quickly with her long strides. Tyler will be a tough matchup this season for most, if not all, opponents.
