Many of the states top players will be taking the floor at Berean Baptist Academy over the next several weekends. Prep Girls Hoops NC takes a look at some of the top prospects to watch out in this league.
Skylar White (E.E. Smith 2023 guard)
Skylar White had a really good spring/summer with the Carolina Flames and recently received her first offer from Allen University in South Carolina. As a sophomore, she posted 15 points, four assists, and four steals per game for an E.E. Smith team that went 9-2 last season. She’s takes care of the ball and is a consistent threat to score at all times. White is sure to have a big junior year and more offers should roll in sooner rather than later.
Sarah Strong Sarah Strong 6'2" | PF Grace Christian | 2024 State NC (Grace Christian Sanford 2024 forward)
Sarah Strong Sarah Strong 6'2" | PF Grace Christian | 2024 State NC , who is heading to Grace Christian of Sanford this season, continues to prove her status as one of the nations top 10 prospects in the 2024 class. From passing to ball handling at her size, she’s a matchup problem for any defender. Strong is starting to develop an outside shot as well and that would just add to her excellent skill set. Expect her to have another excellent showing at this fall league.
Kylie Chavis Kylie Chavis 5'9" | CG Purnell Swett | 2023 State NC (Purnell Swett 2023 guard)
Another guard in the 910 that recently received her first offer is Purnell Swett’s Kylie Chavis Kylie Chavis 5'9" | CG Purnell Swett | 2023 State NC who got one from nearby UNC Pembroke. Chavis is an efficient player that consistently plays at a high level especially defensively. She rebounds well at her size, makes good reads, and is really good at controlling the pace of the game. Chavis was a big time performer for FBC Carolina Elite Lyn this past summer and will be one of the top players in the eastern part of the state this season.
Breonna Roaf (Terry Sanford 2025 guard)
2025 guard Breonna Roaf is one of many incoming freshman to watch out for in this league. Roaf will be playing for a Terry Sanford team that is looking to compete for a state championship this year. She played up multiple age groups with the Fayetteville Stars and plays with a ton of energy. Her ability to hit outside shots and get to the basket will make her an impact player at the high school level.
