The updated Class of 2023 Rankings saw a bunch of talented forwards and a few guards jump from being unranked into the top 100. This is the first rankings update that accounts for this class’s sophomore season so there are some big movers. Eight newcomers proved enough in the past year to crack the top 100. Here they are:
Amelia Rosin Amelia Rosin 6'1" | PF Monarch | 2023 State CO – Monarch – #52
- Rosin debuts at #52 in the 2023 class after becoming a major contributor (7.7 PPG) on a successful 5A team at Monarch. She embraces her back-to-the-basket opportunities and stands out as a smart decision-maker with 1.3 points per shot and under two turnovers per game. At 6’1″, Rosin is lean enough to run the floor well and strong enough to grab 7.5 RPG.
Arezo Safi Arezo Safi 6'0" | PF Monarch | 2023 State CO – Monarch – #62
- Another recruitable riser for the Coyotes is the 6′ Arezo Safi Arezo Safi 6'0" | PF Monarch | 2023 State CO . A little more of a slasher than Rosin, Safi offers the ability to drive from the perimeter, score on step-throughs and power moves, and handles the ball really well for a six-footer. She scored 6.7 PPG and grabbed 5.7 boards per game as a sophomore for Monarch and demonstrated the ability to knock down some threes as well.
Dalana Jakovljevic Dalana Jakovljevic 6'0" | C Littleton | 2023 State CO – Littleton – #68
- A third six-footer who emerged in 2021 is the hard to pronounce, harder to box out, Jakovljevic (8.3 PPG, 6.0 RPG). For simplicity’s sake, her scouting report just says Dalana and you have to know where she’s at and keep a body on her. With her size and aggressiveness, she’s a tough switch vs the Lions’ well-coached pick-n-roll game. At #68 in the class with her skillset, Dalana is a player who has the potential to rise from here as she gains confidence.
Karly Beck Karly Beck 5'8" | SG Northridge | 2023 State CO – Northridge – #71
- Want to get ranked? Lead a 13-3, 4A team in points (10.5 PPG) and rebounds (7.8 RPG), plus chip in four assists a game as a bonus. This 5’8″ combo guard had a heck of a season for the Grizzlies scoring 168 points on just 142 shots (1.2 PPS). Beck finished a strong sophomore season with four straight games scoring in double figures, including against skilled opponents in Mead and Windsor.
Annabelle Biggar Annabelle Biggar 5'11" | CG Dawson School | 2023 State CO – Dawson School – #78
- Seeing 5’11” and 40% behind the arc on a prospect’s resume will quickly make a college coach forget how small of a school she plays for. Biggar (13.5 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 2.4 APG) dropped 149 points on 122 shots (1.2 PPS) and was on fire in a key win over Front Range Christian, scoring 27 and hitting six of seven behind the arc.
Abby Robbins Abby Robbins 5'7" | CG Lamar | 2023 State CO – Lamar – #88
- A really efficient scorer who jumped into the top 100 is the 5’7″ Robbins. She led the 13-3 Savages in scoring (13.8 PPG), rebounding (6.3 RPG), and assists (1.5 APG) as just a sophomore. Robbins was effective shooting threes (10-30) and really strong getting to the rack and making her layups (193 points on 158 shots, 1.2 PPS).
Jacy Rohr Jacy Rohr 5'4" | PG Liberty | 2023 State CO – Liberty – #96
- On a list dominated by bigs, one 5A point guard made a splash with her quickness. Rohr (5’4″) shot great against a talented schedule, hitting 37% of her threes and scoring 134 points on 114 shots (1.2 PPS). I was able to see her play at Lakewood last season and the sharpness of her passing stood out in a five assist performance. Rohr ended up with 10.3 PPG, 1.6 APG, and 2.2 SPG on the season.
Autumn Rivera Autumn Rivera 5'10" | SF Summit | 2023 State CO – Summit – #100
- Rivera had a solid season at 11.3 PPG and 8.5 RPG for the Tigers. But where this 5’10” forward earned a spot in the top 100 was in her March 5th performance during a 53-39 win over Rifle. Rivera scored 25 points along with seven rebounds and three steals to help the Tigers earn the upset. As a 76% free throw shooter she’s a challenging matchup who scored 33.2% of her team’s points on the season.
