2021 West Virginia Top 250 Expo- Class of 2025 Guards
In this article:
This past weekend, the top 250 players in Western PA and West Virginia were on display at the Highlands Sport Complex in Triadelphia, West Virginia. With the season right around the corner, the tournament was filled with talent looking to improve on their stock. Here were a few guards in the class of 2025 who really stood out.
Hanna Stemple-G-2025-University High School
Hanna is a 5’5, 150 pound combo guard who can score the ball in a variety of ways or run the offense with her ball handling. In transition she pushes the ball and does a great job reading the defense. In the half court, Hanna can shoot well behind the 3-point line or attack the basket. On defense, she understands rotations, communicates with teammates, and keeps her hands active. Very bright future. I can see her playing D1-D2.
Preslee Treadway Preslee Treadway 5'8" | SF Greenbrier West | 2025 State WV -G-2025-Spring Mills High school
Olivia is a 5’4, 110 pound point guard who has a high IQ for the game. Olivia protects the basketball when it is in her hands and doesn’t seem to get raddled under pressure. She can knock down mid range and perimeter shots. Defensively, Olivia uses her quickness to stay in front of her opponents. If she continues to get stronger, she can contribute in D1-D2 programs.
Ava Edwards Ava Edwards 5'7" | SG Nitro | 2025 State WV -G-2025-Nitro High School
Ava is a 5’6, 125 pound point guard who plays in the open well. In transition she handles the basketball with her head up, looking for what the defense will present. She does a great job penetrating and making perimeter shots. Because of her athletic ability defensively, she can get after it causing steals, charges, and disruption. If she continues working on overall strength, she could attract some high D2 interest.
Alexis Bordas Alexis Bordas 5'8" | SG Wheeling Park | 2025 State WV -G-2025-Wheeling Park High School
Alexis is 5’8, 140 pound and listed as a shooting guard. She can really shoot the 3-pointer. When Alexis gets to her spots on transition, she can light up the stat sheet quickly. Alexis can also handle the ball at the point guard position as well. She has good vision and makes the correct pass. Defensively, she can guard the 1-3 positions and loves to compete. If she continues to work on strength and conditioning, she will definitely be looking at some D1-D2 offers in the near future.
Sadaya Pryor-G-2025-Morgantown High School
Sadaya is a 5’9, 150 pound wing who does a little of everything. Offensively, she gets rebounds and finishes around the basket. Sadaya can shoot a 3-pointer or shoot a floater off the dribble. She continues to move even when she doesn’t have the ball. Defensively, she brings a lot energy and helps on the boards. If she continues to improve on strength and agility, she can contribute on the D1-D2
