With the season right around the corner, the tournament was filled with talent looking to improve on their stock. Here were a few underclassmen who raised eyebrows throughout the day.
Eden Williamson-G/F-2023-Trinity Christian School
Eden is a 5’9, 145 pound wing who competes defensively. She is versatile enough to defend the 1-3 positions and some times the 4. Eden anticipates and competes for the entire game. Offensively, Eden catches and finishes well in the paint. She sets good screens and is overall a coaches dream. She can serve as the glue person or captain to any team. If she continues to work on mid range jump shots and ball handling, I can see her contributing to D2-D3 programs
London Creach-G-2025-Woodland Hills High School
London is a 5’7, 135 pound combo guard who can score in many ways. She makes them from inside and out. London puts pressure on the defense with her crafty ball handling and her use of the pick and roll. Defensively, she is athletic enough to defend the 1-3 positions. She is a competitor! If she continues to get stronger and improve man to man defense, she could compete on the D1-D2 level.
Zariah Marling Zariah Marling 5'11" | PF Wheeling Park | 2022 State WV -G-2022-Wheeling Park High School
Zariah is a 5’10, 150 pound guard who has excellent vision and can push the tempo with her ball handling. She finishes well in traffic, and can step behind the arc for points. Defensively, she is aggressive and has good man to man defense. Zariah also rebounds the ball. If she continues working on her strength and agility, I can see her playing in a D2 program in the near future.
Mackenzie Brezovee-F-2023-Jefferson High School
Mackenzie is a 5’9, 160 pound forward who runs the floor well, has good hands, and competes through the entire game. Mackenzie finishes under the basket and must be accounted for on the offensive boards. Defensively, she can guard the 4’s and 5’s. Mackenzie does a great job not fouling her opponent. If she continues to improve on quickness and her mid range shot, I wouldn’t be surprised if D2-D3 schools come knocking on her door.
Alilyonna Jordan-G/F-2024-Morgantown High School
Alilyonna is a 5’10, 170 pound wing who runs the floor well and makes her presence known with her physicality and toughness. She likes to rebound and finish inside the paint. Alilyonna can also step outside the paint and hit mid-range shots. Defensively, she can guard most 3’s, 4’s, and 5’s. If she can get healthy and improve on her quickness and mid-range shots, Alilyonna could see some high D2 offers.
