Continue ReadingThe next class to update is the rising Sophomore group. This 2024 class is really good at the top and has some quality depth to it and there are more and more players emerging all the time. Our latest update expands the list to 70 players and has seen some movement in the top 10. Here’s a look at the latest Top Ten in 2024. Remember, these rankings are predominantly based on college potential.
Trinity Rowe Trinity Rowe 5'7" | PG Pikeville | 2024 State KY , Pikeville – Trinity remains in the top spot but the margin is narrowing. Rowe’s best quality is that she’s super consistent. You know when she hits the court that you’re going to get high energy, playmaking and top notch ballhandling. She continues to rack up D1 offers and will have a long list by the time we get to signing day in a couple years.
Ramiya White Ramiya White 6'4" | C Butler | 2024 State KY , DuPont Manual – With Ramiya, it’s a classic “potential versus production” argument. Her potential is as high or higher than anyone in the class thanks to her size. Her potential is why she has added several high major D1 offers in the last few months. Once her production catches up to her potential, look for her to make a move on the top spot in the class.
Sarah Baker Sarah Baker 6'2" | C Ryle | 2024 State KY , Ryle – Another player with great positional size, Sarah is highly skilled and is a good shooter from range. Baker needs to improve as a rebounder and get more active when pursuing out of area rebounds but she has earned so many D1 offers in the last year thanks to her size and skill and will keep adding to her list for the next few years.
Reagan Bender Reagan Bender 5'9" | SF Sacred Heart | 2024 State KY , Sacred Heart – Reagan can sometimes be overlooked because of Sacred Heart being so loaded but she has great positional size and is already adding D1 offers before her Sophomore season. With the platform she plays on at SHA and with Kentucky Premier, Bender should get plenty of opportunity to impress and potentially even move up this list.
Audrey Biggs Audrey Biggs 6'0" | SF Boyd County | 2024 State KY , Boyd County – Biggs had a stretch this summer where it seemed like she was getting a new offer every other day. The latest in the line of great scorers at Boyd, look for Audrey to have a huge season and start making a name for herself after waiting her turn to be the go to scorer at Boyd the last few seasons.
Gracie-Jo Wilder Gracie-Jo Wilder 6'0" | SG Bell County | 2024 State KY , Whitley County – Coming off a Freshman season where she led Whitley in scoring and rebounding, Wilder showed the ability to be a three level scorer and a dependable three point shooter. There’s a decent chance that Gracie will average 20 points and 10 rebounds per game in her Sophomore season.
Shaelyn Steele Shaelyn Steele 5'5" | PG Russell | 2024 State KY , Russell – Shaelyn slipped a few spots in this update but it’s not due to her production falling. Steele is an effective scorer and distributor at the point guard spot and can also play off the ball and get downhill off the bounce and is a dependable shooter from deep. She’s a no brainer D1 player and already has the offers to match.
Mariah Knight Mariah Knight 6'1" | PF Butler | 2024 State KY , CAL – Mariah was a standout at our Top 250 Expo last month and remains one of the players with the highest long term potential in the class. With great size and length combined with above average athleticism, Knight has a chance to skyrocket to the top of the class rankings if she reaches her potential in the next couple of years.
Liz Freihofer Liz Freihofer 5'10" | SF Cooper | 2024 State KY , Cooper – Primarily a catch and shoot wing, Liz is on the short list of best shooters in the class. Freihofer has to continue getting more comfortable off the bounce and finishing through contact but she has the potential to be one of the best scorers in the 9th region over the next few seasons and has already earned and offer from nearby NKU.
Quinn Eubank Quinn Eubank 5'11" | PF Ryle | 2024 State KY , Ryle – Quinn was one of the few (maybe the only?) freshmen in Kentucky to average a double double last season. After putting up 10.1 points and 10.6 rebounds last season, Eubank could be an 18-20 point per game scorer as her shooting improves from range. Right now she’s a high energy forward with the ability to be a terror on the defensive end.
