Sierra Jean Sierra Jean 5'7" | CG Proctor Academy | 2025 State NewE – Mass Elite/Methuen – 5’7’’ – CG
’25 Rank: #16
Jean is one of the best two-way players in the ’25 class, and you can’t but love the way she gets after it defensively. Her athleticism is off the charts, and she uses it for emphatic blocks and steals that lead to easy transition points. Jean is a relentless competitor and will keep attacking the defense possession after possession, scoring at will. In a tough Merrimack Valley Conference, with how Jean can take over games on offense and defense, it would not surprise me if she made a case for a top 10 player when the winter season concludes.
Samaya Lovett Samaya Lovett 5'7" | CG Brooks | 2025 State NewE – Lady Rivals/Brooks – 5’7’’ – CG
’25 Rank: #29
I saw Lovett at the Brooks School open gym, and she looked like a top 20 player with the way she was carving up the defense. Her upper body strength at the guard spot is unmatched, and I am not sure there is a player at her position who is a fair matchup against her. Lovett’s offensive package is deep, and she can get a bucket at all three levels easily. She even opened my eyes with a ridiculous one-leg mid-range fadeaway that she could’ve buried with her eyes closed. Lovett is that confident in her scoring and should be an X factor for Brooks this winter.
Sylvie Bangasimbo Sylvie Bangasimbo 5'8" | SF Manchester Central | 2025 State NewE – NE Storm/Manchester Central – 5’8’’ – SF
’25 Rank: #66
Bangasimbo’s offensive game has improved a lot this fall, especially her playmaking ability. The ball does not stick with Bangasimbo, and she has done a good job drawing the defense on her drives and finding the open teammate. Bangasimbo has also extended her range out beyond the three to couple with her slashing. She is developing into a versatile forward with her offensive progression, mixed with her interior defense and rebounding.
Rachel Penny Rachel Penny 5'8" | SG Edward Little | 2025 State NewE – Edward Little/MBC Select – 5’8’’ – SG
’25 Rank: #68
Penny is arguably the best shooter in the ’25 class, and last weekend at the Hoop Group Fall Showcase, she proved to be a complete player who can impact both sides of the floor. Penny was the loudest player on defense, consistently talking, and was a terrific help-side defender. On offense, I liked Penny’s aggressive approach. Whenever the defense gives her a little breathing room on the outside, she won’t hesitate to make them pay. What I liked most about Penny’s game from over the weekend was that she didn’t settle for threes and was comfortable enough to put the ball on the deck and get a higher percentage shot at the basket.
Emily Leonard Emily Leonard 5'7" | CG Pinkerton Academy | 2025 State NewE – Team Saints – 5’6’’ – CG
’25 Rank: #99
The more I watch Leonard, the more I like her as a prospect. Throughout the spring and summer, she “wowed” me with her three-point shooting proving to be one of the deadliest snipers in the ’25 class. After catching some of her games this fall, I noticed her improved slashing ability and consistent finishing at the basket. The Saints have been executing at a high level on offense, and Leonard being a reliable wing scorer next to top 10 prospect Sydney Gerossie Sydney Gerossie 5'9" | PG Pinkerton Academy | 2025 State NewE , has played a role in the team’s success. The development Leonard has shown over the past few weeks has vastly increased her stock.
