Sydney Gerossie Sydney Gerossie 5'9" | PG Pinkerton Academy | 2025 State NewE – Team Saints/Pinkerton Academy – 5’8’’ – PG
’25 Rank: #6
You can tell Gerossie’s impact on a game by looking at how opposing teams defend her when she is on the court compared to when she is off. Rightfully so, when she has the ball in her hands, you have to send double teams and traps in her direction and force the ball out of her hands, or else she will dissect the defense. Once Gerossie goes downhill, she can beat you in various ways, and when in transition, her potency is at the highest. When Gerossie exits the game, there is a sigh of relief from the defense because they don’t have to account for a three-level scorer who sees the floor better than most.
Anna Oliver Anna Oliver 5'11" | PG Hodgdon | 2025 State NewE – Hodgden – 5’11’’ – PG
’25 Rank: #8
One of the more physically imposing guards in the class of ‘25, Oliver’s combination of length, height, and athleticism makes her a matchup nightmare for any defender. There aren’t many players who can beat you in more ways than Oliver when it comes to scoring versatility. In and out crossovers, spin moves, mid-range pull-ups, and the list goes on for this top 10 prospect. She effortlessly gets whatever she wants at her size and is comfortable shooting over a hard shot contest. There isn’t a better-conditioned athlete in ‘25, and Oliver’s work ethic is through the roof. Oliver has the potential to be a legitimate top 3 player when she hits her ceiling.
Ava Orlando Ava Orlando 5'7" | PG Notre Dame Academy | 2025 State NewE – O-Zone/Notre Dame Academy – 5’4’’ – PG
’25 Rank: #9
Orlando has to carry a ton of weight on her shoulders game in and game out for O-Zone. She plays the majority of the minutes, has the ball consistently in her hands, so the margin of error for Orlando is small. She can’t afford to be careless with the ball and has to be highly efficient on offense. Throughout the summer, Orlando has fulfilled those aforementioned duties and then some. On offense, she made the game so easy for her teammates and did a good job setting them up for shots while also being a deadly scorer at all three levels. She competes, digs in on defense, and makes it extremely difficult for ball handlers to get by her due to her lateral quickness and aggressiveness.
Narissa Smith Narissa Smith 5'6" | CG Rivers | 2025 State NewE – Bay State Jaguars/Rivers – 5’6’’ – CG
’25 Rank: #10
I highly recommend if you are available Thursday evenings to go to Rivers and watch Smith light the gym up. In the last few weeks, she has taken her offensive game to another level, earning her a spot in the top 10. At her size, creating the space she does on her jump shot is nothing short of spectacular. Smith’s stepback is lethal, her crossover is tight, and once she gets the defender back peddling and off-balance, it’s game over. Even at 5’6’’, I have zero issues putting Smith at the 2 guard because she is an automatic bucket, fearless, and can get her shot off against any sized defender.
