Howard came away with an impressive 60-52 victory over Western in one of the most exciting games of the day. A lot of talent on both teams as each would be considered contenders for a state championship. Howard came in with a line up of three players 6’2″ or better while the Doves boasted a pair of top 20 ranked seniors.
Standouts (Howard):
Gabrielle Kennerly Gabrielle Kennerly 5'10" | SF Howard | 2023 State MD – 5’10″ – Wing – Howard -2023
Gabby was the most versitile player in the gym. She has the skill and size the play any position on the floor. A lot of the game she started the offense out at the point, however, she was off the ball and even at the post at times. She was effective in each position.
Gabby Scott Gabby Scott 6'0" | SF Howard | 2022 State MD – 6’3″ – Post/Wing – Howard – 2022
The Towson commit was good inside with the rebound putback.and showed a nice for on her shot with accuracy knocking down a couple of three pointers during the course of the game.
Grace Henderson – 6’3″ – Post – Howard – 2024
Grace has good size and nice length inside. She has an interesting form on her shot but it seems to be accurate when she gets her feet set. Plays with a lot of energy
