The camp was for high school girls that were wanting some good development while also being evaluated. Players participated in about 90 minutes of good skill development that included ball-handling, shooting, and 1 on 1. The players also got to apply what they learned during the skill development segment in some 3 on 3.
Ja’Niya Harper | 2023 | 5’7 | Post/Forward | Nevada High School
Ja’Niya is a player that is going to play hard and give you maximum effort. She can score from the low block with a soft touch, goes after rebounds aggressively, and has a good understanding of the game. She can even step out make the mid-range jumper. Defensively she does a good job of being a primary defender. Ja’Niya also has a good understanding of where to be when in help position.
Savannah Pyle | 2024 | 5’6 | Combo Guard | Emerson High School
Savannah is another player that played hard throughout the camp. She’s a good spot-up shooter that can make the mid-range jumper or extend out to the three-point line. She does a good job of using her shooting ability to shot fake and get the defense off-balance to get to the rim for the finish.
Jordan Blake | 2025 | 5’9 | Wing | England High School
Jordan has good size and a nice skill set to work with. By being a freshman she has a lot of potential and could really develop over her high school career. She has a serviceable handle, can get to the rim, and has the potential to be a really good defender with her size and length.
Landiss Brewer | 2025 | 5’7 | Post/Forward | England
Landiss has good size and doesn’t mind being physical around the rim. She has a good understanding of the game with a nice touch around the rim. She’s only a freshman so she has time to continue to develop and add more skills to her game.
Marlaysha Stone | 2025 | 5’1 | Point Guard | Magnolia High School
Marlaysha is a three-point shooter. She prefers to shoot the three-pointer off the catch, but she can also get to the rim. She has a nice handle and has the potential to be a really good defender. She has to realize her potential and when she does, the sky’s the limit.
Dajanae Watson | 2022 | 5’2 | Point Guard | Mineral Springs High School
Dajanae had a great attitude and work ethic during the camp. She really impressed me with her defense, specifically her on-ball pressure. She was physical when guarding the ball and could sense when the ball handler didn’t want to handle it. Offensively she did a good job of using ball fakes on drives to keep the defense off-balance.
Lindsey Lockhart | 2022 | 5’8 | Wing | El Dorado High School
Lindsey is a player that has more potential than she realizes. She has a good enough handle to get to her spots on the floor to be effective. She can knock down the spot-up three. Each shot she made you could see the confidence increase as she played. Defensively she has quick feet and does a good job making the offense work for their shot.
Charalyn Rester | 2023 | 5’1 | PG | El Dorado High School
Charalyn was impressive with her ball-handling and footwork. She possesses a good handle that keeps the defense off-balance with her ability to change directions and be shifty. When she attacks the defense off the dribble it often attacks other defenders and she would use her vision to deliver on time on target passes to her teammates for open shots. Charalyn could also shoot the three. If she gets on balance with her feet set she make the three-pointer.
Car’Shaila Rozier | 2022 | 6’0 | Post/Forward | El Dorado High School
Car’Shaila was the best athlete in the camp. Long, athletic and does a little bit of everything. Can rebound the ball, put it on the floor, and make the occasional three-pointer. She plays hard and has potential. Defensively she does a good job being a primary defender and offering help on drives, forcing the offense to shoot over her long arms.
