This team will be full of upperclassman and a few impact freshmen. After speaking with Coach Sharnesha Smith, she mentioned that her team has grown a lot through summer workouts and training. The Lady Terrors are the deepest they have ever been at the guard position but will be looking to make some noise inside as well. Here are the players that should make an impact for the Lady Terrors this season.
Akirria Mountain I 5’6 I SG I 2022
Mountain is looking to have a bounce-back season after season-ending knee surgery last winter. Mountain comes back with tons of Varsity experience and a member of the State Runner Team 2019-2020 season. She led the team in scoring before her knee injury. A high IQ point guard that can consistently hit the 3 ball. Attacks the basket hard and can finish through contact. Mountain’s role will be huge if the Lady Terrors want to advance deep in the playoffs.
Alindria Dudley I 5’5 I PG I 2023
Dudley brings tons of experience to the team from past years. She started every game for the Lady Terrors last season clocking numerous minutes. One of the quickest players with a basketball. Her role will change as she will have the ability to play off-ball this season. Dudley had a strong breakout summer with the FBC Nightmares so she is looking to bring that experience to the team. If Dudley can continue to score at all 3 levels she will be one of the top guards in the state.
Reggenae Habersham I 5’5 I SG I 2022
Habersham comes to the Lady Terrors with tons of experience at the guard spot. Has one of the nicest strokes from deep. If you push her off the 3 point line she has the ability to blow by you for the pull-up jump shot. Habersham has great court awareness and will be called upon to be one of the leaders of the Lady Terrors this season. Coach Smith has mentioned she is a game-changer when locked in.
Paris Smith I 5’10 I SF I 2022
Smith has the ability to be one of the best post players in the state. Smith will lead the Lady Terrors at the post position. She is an athletic post player that can score inside out. Uses her speed from the high post to blow past her defenders. Smith will have to use her quickness to defend the post. She brings experience from the 2019-2020 State Runner Team. This will be a breakout season for her.
Cooper Cate I 5’10 I SF I 2022
Cate is one of the hardest-working kids on the roster. She reminds me of a Draymond Green. She is always rebounding and finding her open teammates. She does all the little things that may not show up on the stat sheet. Always willing to sacrifice her body to get to the 50/50 balls. One of the best defenders on the Lady Terrors.
Kayla Page I 5’7 I Wing I 2022
Page brings a bit more depth to the guard/wing spot. Page is a transfer from California that will be looked upon for her leadership. Has the ability to attack the basket and a nice pull-up jump shot. Uses her strong frame to battle inside but can also play outside. Page is always communicating on the floor and making sure everyone is in the right spots. High IQ player that will make an impact this season.
