The evaluations of all ten teams are blends of notes from my colleagues Earl Austin, Phillipe McCree, and me. Two players, Aliana Arambula and Emily Fischer Emily Fischer 5'11" | PF Olathe Northwest | 2024 State KS , earned spots on the all-event team.
Aliana Arambula, 5’5″, PG, Mid-Buchanan (MO), 2026 – Arambula showed a highly mature game. A strong perimeter shooter, she also has a quick shot off the bounce to finish. She has strong handles, can absorb contact, is very heady in transition and is skilled at creating space for herself to set up what she wants to do with the ball. Very difficult player to speed up and several very quick opponents failed in the attempt.
Brenley Cunningham Brenley Cunningham 5'4" | PG Gardner Edgerton | 2023 State KS , 5’4″, CG, Gardner Edgerton (KS), 2023 – Cunningham is a consistent player who creates success with her hustle on both ends of the floor. She has good speed including with the ball, runs lanes well on two-on-one breaks, can finish with speed, and has a good little floater in her repertioire. Always boxed out on both ends of the floor.
Emily Fischer Emily Fischer 5'11" | PF Olathe Northwest | 2024 State KS , 5’11″, PF, Olathe Northwest (KS), 2024 – Good athletic follow and tip-in. Shows ball to set up basket. Baseline. Back. Defending 24 of the drive and shot challenge well. Defend. Solid built.
Lucy Hardy Lucy Hardy 5'8" | CG Lawrence | 2023 State KS , 5’6″, CG, Lawrence (KS), 2023 – My colleague Phillipe McCree described her as an extremely active player. Always on the move offensively without the ball, got out in front in transition, and crashes the boards from the guard position.
Marta Konzalska Marta Konzalska 5'9" | CG Sunrise Christian Academy | 2022 State KS , 5’9″, CG/SF, Sunrise Christian Academy (KS), 2022 – Konczalska showed a well rounded, strong game on both ends of the floor. She defended well on the wing and with her length was able to disrupt sight lines. Konczalska is a heady player with terrific vision who can make tough plays look slick and almost easy. An example was a one-handed bounce pass to the block from the above the top-of-the-key area to a back door cutter for a layup. On the finish she can split defenders and finish one-handed on across the lane slashes. Three-ball threat with good range.
Madison Lillard Madison Lillard 5'9" | SG North Andrew | 2025 MO , 5’9″, F, North Andrew (MO), 2025 – Lillard is lanky player who will only get better as she gets stronger. Has the ability to stroke it with a quick release including from beyond the arc.
Destiny Smith Destiny Smith 5'7" | CG Derby | 2024 State KS , 5’7″, PG, Derby (KS), 2024 – Off the bounce and in transition Smith is a very quick, creative, and athletic scorer. A better mid-range and perimeter shooter in flow off the catch or a couple dribbles. Very quick hands and feet defensively. Gets out in transition quickly.
Mimi White, 5’10″, PF/SF, Jenks (OK), 2024 – White has the ability to play and defend inside and out because of her footwork. Has a solid build that she uses to good effect when creating interior scoring opportunities.
