Here is a look at the top young players from the state in the Classes 2025 and 2026 who stood out at the event.
Anonda Ford 5’9″ University Academy: The 2025 guard was a whirlwind of effort who played the game at one speed, which was Full Tilt Boogie. She attacked the basket constantly on offense and she was also a force as a rebounder and defensive player. Her size and great motor enable her to impact the game at both ends as well as inside and the perimeter.
Eliana Arambula 5’5″ Mid Buchanan: The 2026 point guard was one of the most impressive players in the entire camp, which was a remarkable because she was the youngest player there. She was very poised and controlled with the ball and she could not be sped up by the defense. She had creative handles to get where she wanted to go and she could score at all three levels.
Taelyn Smith Taelyn Smith 6'0" | SF Notre Dame De Sion | 2025 State MO 5’10″ Notre Dame de Sion: I really enjoyed watching this young 2025 forward do her work inside. She’s physically strong with good fundamentals and footwork. She catches the ball well in traffic and finished with a nice touch. She can also turn and face up the defense and make a play on the drive or shoot the jumper.
Hazley Grotjohn 5’5″ Seneca: A talented point guard who has a little swag in her game as she handled the ball with confidence and kept defenders off balance with her ability to change speeds. She was consistently getting into the lane and she was a nice finisher with floaters and runners.
