That year she played in eight JV games and 27 games as a member of the varsity Kailyn maintains a 4.0 GPA with a minor in Mandarin Chinese. One scout had this to say about her game. “She is an aggressive scorer and well-rounded player who will look to score from both the post and the perimeter. As a junior now for DCCS, she should be ready to come into her own.
Kyah Wynn Kyah Wynn 5'8" | SF Desert Mountain | 2023 State AZ is a six-foot power forward for Desert Mountain High school She also plays for the Southwest Stars, her grassroots team. A transfer from Cactus Shadows, she played in only four games last season due to an injury. Kyah averaged 4.5 points per game and 5.5 rebounds as a sophomore. She also shot 62% from the field. The Lady Vipers finished 4-10 overall last season and 2-6 in the Northeast Valley Division. She is also a pre-med student with a GPA of 3.7.
One scout commented on her game. “Kyah is becoming a force on the court. She has a high basketball IQ. She is a very talented player who plays good defense, has solid post moves and mid-range jump shot.” She is also an outstanding rebounder and defender and has improved every year since her seventh-grade team finished 10-0. She is now ready for a breakout junior year.
Natalie Scherzer Natalie Scherzer 5'7" | CG Chaparral | 2023 State AZ is a five-foot-seven guard for Chaparral High School. A recent transfer from Horizon High School, she also plays for her club team, AZ Select. As a sophomore, she averaged 12.4 points per game and 4.9 rebounds. Her Horizon team finished the season 8-8 and 2-4 in their conference. Horizon lost to Cactus Shadows in last year’s playoffs, 59-44. She was nominated for Player of the Week last February with an 18 point, five rebounds, four steals performance as well as 50% shooting in a win over Centennial.
Natalie, as a sophomore, made All-Conference Second Team. One scout commented on her game. “She showed a nice floater, the ability to handle the ball with great vision, and has a motor at both ends of the floor.” Now a junior, she is looking for a career in biological science or life sciences. With two years left as a high school player, Natalie will only improve as she gets ready to play at the next level.

Jordyn emphasized these points in her profile. “Not only am I a hard worker on the court, but I am also a hard worker off the court – in the classroom and the community. My coach will have a leader both on and off the court, a player that is willing to do everything about the game and make everyone else better around me so we can win.” She is now ready for an outstanding junior year.
