This tigers team going into the season only has 3 seasons that will be looking to provide some much-needed veteran leadership and presence. Last season the Tigers finished with 14 wins last season and a second-round exit of the state tournament. This team has matured over the summer and will be looking to make it further than they did last season. Expect this team to win 17-20 games and make it no less than the second round in the state tournament.
Jordan Marshall Jordan Marshall 5'11" | SF Central | 2024 State AR – 6”0 forward c/o 2024- the heart of the team, this team goes as she goes, she is a long athlete that can play any position on the floor. She was a nightmare for the opposing team in the conference averaging close to double-digit points as a freshman. Coming back for her sophomore season looking to improve on what she started last season. Jordan is getting some college interest right now so she will be a main focus for this tigers team. Jordan hired a trainer to continue sharping her skills outside of team practice. It’s going to be exciting seeing what she is able to do this season after a pretty productive freshman season on varsity.
Lillian Jackson Lillian Jackson 6'0" | C Central | 2022 State AR 6”0 forward c/o 2022
Jackson is a senior that brings veteran leadership. She understands her position and has a gauge on the team. She will be looking to help the team with energy and rebounds and that might influence the others to get on board. Lillian has a big frame and knows how to use it on the block to position herself for getting extra possessions for her team.
Aven Sassar 6”0 guard c/o2024
Aven was a true freshman last season and contributed where she could. Aven had a productive summer and she got better playing with her summer team. This year she will have more guard duties and a bigger role. If she plays well. the backcourt will be one of the best in the state so she has pressure and the skill to back it up.
Jacayln Houston guard c/o 2023
Jacayln has primary ball-handling duties this year and should be ready to make things happen. Her job is to play hard-nosed defense and facilitate the basketball. Jacayln might be a true point guard but if she get hot her defender will be in for a long night. Jacayln has the ability to flat out shoot the ball. With the addition of ashlyn she may get some off guard duties and really showcase her ability to shoot the ball. The backcourt of this tigers team is dangerous because they have the ability to limit opposing teams from scoring and they have the ability to pour on the points, and it starts with jacayln. She has experience so she will be leading and advising the younger players.
These are the four top returners for the tigers.. they received a couple transfers such as ashlyn a 2024 guard from power house Nlr charging wildcats that will be looking to add to that already dangerous back court. Ashlyn is fast, she easily breaks down most defense due to her speed and she is a blur in transition. she is young and have limited varsity experience but she is a hard worker and ready to learn and grow.
