In our first release of the Class of 2025, Monday we took a look at the top 7 players, Tuesday we took a look inside the top 20, and today we look at players inside the Top 50.
About Our Rankings
Prep Girls Hoops prospect rankings have been compiled by our staff with input from high school, club and college coaches from across the state. Players are ranked on their status as a college prospect. We aim to expand and update our prospects rankings 2-4 times per year to continue to maintain the most comprehensive, accurate prospect rankings in the country.
You can take a look at the Class of 2025 Rankings HERE:
Serena Ross Serena Ross 5'10" | SF FL (Candace Parker Hoop Dreams Elite) – 5’10 Wing
Overall Rank: 22 Positional Rank: 6
Got to see Ross for the first time in Orland this past July with Candace Parker Hoop Dreams Elite. She is a tall, athletic wing who has an excellent all-around game. She can fill up the stat sheet with points, rebounds, blocks, rebounds, and assists! Her athletic frame stands out in the crowd as her body is mature for her age and she has several inches on many of the players she is going up against. She has a high ceiling!
V’Davrielle “DaeDae” Johnson V’Davrielle “DaeDae” Johnson 5'7" | CG Gateway | 2025 State FL (South Fort Myers High School / Florida Future) – CG
Overall Rank: 25 Positional Rank: 8
There are many high-level athletes in the class of 2025 and Johnson is at the top of the list!
Her athleticism is elite level, and the sky is the ceiling if her skillset catches up with her athleticism. She is a bit under the radar and as she has not been out at many events to evaluate – her name will be one to track and follow this season with South Fort Myers to see how her game translates to the high school level.
Janai Jordan Janai Jordan 5'9" | PG Providence Jacksonville Florida | 2025 State FL – 5’7 PG
Overall Rank: 26 Positional Rank: 6
Jordan was the youngest player at the Red’s Super 64 Showcase in Tampa last month and it was the first time seeing her. The 5’7 Point Guard from Jacksonville is a long, lean, athletic, shifty guard who has big time potential! Going up against players 2-3 years older than her, Jordan handled the ball with confidence, slicing through defenses and dropping dimes for east buckets! She plays with a confidence on the court that is mainly seen in players that have several years of varsity experience and she does a great job not turning the ball over and leading her team.
Alahni Lovett Alahni Lovett 5'5" | PG Lakewood | 2025 State FL (The Geneva School / Team Florida) – 5’5 PG
Overall Rank: 32 Positional Rank: 8
Lovett is a young player that has a great combination of strength and athleticism with a solid basketball IQ and great court awareness. She is most effective attacking the rim off the dribble and consistently push the ball in transition. With the ball in her hands – she can score in the paint, find the open player as well as pull up in the paint for a mid-range jump shot.
Sariah Johnson Sariah Johnson 5'9" | SF Dr.Phillips | 2025 State FL (The First Academy / Essence) – 5’8 Wing
Overall Rank: 38 Positional Rank: 8
Johnson is bigger and stronger than 95% of the players she is going up against and plays super aggressive!! She attacks the rim with no fear, looking to get to the basket off the dribble with little regard of who is in her way. She with a strong build, an impressive from, and high level athleticism, Johnson has major upside and a chance to be really good!
Laila Harvey Laila Harvey CG FL – CG
Overall Rank: 40 Positional Rank: 11
Harvey was a young scoring guard that I was unfamiliar with until seeing her at the Show-N-Prove showcase last month. She scored at ease off the bounce and ripping to the basket from the wing off the catch. She has the ability to make things look easy, lulling her defenders to sleep. But do not let her easy going nature and quiet body fool you, she is a bucket getter!
Jennie Gutman Jennie Gutman 5'11" | PF Robinson | 2025 State FL (Robinson HS / Tampa Thunder) – 5’11 PF
Overall Rank: 48 Positional Rank: 5
Gutman is a 5’11 Forward that has range to 15 feet and has good handle for a post player. At 5’11, she can grab a defensive rebound and start the break. She potentially could be a wing in the future as she continues to develop her handle, range, and consistency.
About the Class of 2025 Rankings
This is the first release of the class of 2025. We have looked at players performance and potential with both their High School and Travel teams. If there is a player that not included in the rankings or you feel is not ranked properly, please email us at WholeyPrepHoops@gmail.com and include Name, Height, Position, HS, Travel team, any stats available and any video available. Our goal is to cover the entire state, but we are well aware that we have not seen everyone in the state and those that we have seen, we have not seen all of them equally the same amount of time and games. We have done our best to rank the players based on what we have seen personally. Our next updated ranking will be released in January of 2022.
