Darrionna Howard Darrionna Howard 6'1" | PF Clayton | 2023 State NC (Clayton 2023 forward)
2023 forward Darrionna Howard Darrionna Howard 6'1" | PF Clayton | 2023 State NC will be the anchor of the Clayton squad this year on both ends of the floor. She sets the tone with her defense which led to transition opportunities in this contest. Howard finished with 19 points in three quarters helping the Comets dismantle the Spartans throughout the evening. She holds several in-state division one offers and the list is only growing.
Kaylin McKoy (Clayton 2025 guard)
A newcomer to the Comets team, Kaylin McKoy is one of the top freshman guards in North Carolina and showed it in her first game. She had 24 points, four rebounds, five assists, and four steals in this contest and will likely be one of the primary scoring options going forward. McKoy took efficient shots from the outside and in the paint in this game.
Peyton Sharp (Clayton 2023 guard)
2023 guard Peyton Sharp will be a key player for this team as the season goes on thanks to her shooting prowess. She also defends and rebounds well at her position and size making her an important piece of the puzzle. Sharp is one of the top returning guards in Johnston County and will make this team tough to beat throughout the campaign.
Kayla Robertson (Clayton 2023 forward)
Another key player for this Comets team is 2023 forward Kayla Roberston who had 10 points in this contest. She blocks shots, protects the rim, rebounds, handles the ball well, and can finish inside even through traffic. Expect her to have some impact games throughout the season as Clayton looks to make a deep playoff run moving up a classification to 4-A this year.
