Basketball season is back in Tennessee! Week 1 kicked off Monday night with girls who were hungry to get back on the hardwood. These ladies were ready to play against other people besides their teammates. Both Monday and Tuesday nights had opening contests that displayed some talented young ladies. Kids were diving on the floor, slashing through gaps, making incredible passes, and knocking down shots from all over.

We’ve said this before, this state is littered with girls who can go. Our state has tough and hungry kids who love to compete. As week 1 continues on with bouts on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, here are some notable Middle Tennessee kids who provided some early season excitement as the season tipped off.

Sydney Ryan Sydney Ryan 5'10" | SG Brentwood | 2022 State TN (5’11/G/Brentwood)- The  Furman commit was lights out for her club Tuesday night. Sydney led her team with a game-high 28 pts. She was the catalyst for her club, scoring the ball from multiple spots on the floor. Sydney plays the game with poise and has incredible court vision. She has a great feel for the game and has a knack for being around the ball. Look for her
