Each week we will release new articles about a handful of players that stood out above the rest. This article is going to be focusing on the talent that has been shown throughout the first week of December in the Arizona Class AAAAA.
Trayanna Crisp Trayanna Crisp 5'7" | CG PHH Prep | 2022 State AZ – Senior – 5’9″ – Millennium High School
Crisp is a five-foot-nine senior guard for the Millennium Lady Tigers that has played up at the Varsity level since her freshman year with the #4 ranked team in the state of Arizona. So far this season, #23 is averaging 16.7 points per game and 4.7 rebounds per game. She is also averaging 4.3 assists per game and 3.7 steals per game to show her versatility on the floor. Trayanna is the type of player that is going to fly around and be at the spot you may least expect it. With only one loss so far and a few top-tier performances already, this will be a name that is going to frequent the Class AAAAA.
Madison Reibel Madison Reibel 5'6" | CG Canyon View | 2024 CO – Sophomore – 5’5″ – Canyon View High School
The Canyon View Lady Jaguars have arguably one of the top sophomores in the state for the 2021-2022 high school basketball season and she is already starting off HOT! Madison Reibel Madison Reibel 5'6" | CG Canyon View | 2024 CO is a five-foot-five combo guard that is averaging 16.5 points per game and 4.6 assists per game to begin an 8-0 season. She also makes her presence on the court known by her 4.1 steals per game and 3.1 rebounds per game. On a big night against Kellis High School (12/02), Reibel finished the game with 26 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, and 5 steals to kick off the month of December. Since that night, Madison has had two games with 15 points and another 23 point game against West Point last night. A natural-born scorer.
Allison Saunders – Junior – 5’10″ – Campo Verde High School
Five-foot-ten junior shooting guard for the Campo Verdo Lady Coyotes, Allison Saunders, has started off strong helping her team to a 9-3 record to begin the season. Saunders is currently averaging 12.3 points per game followed by 4.4 rebounds per game for the 2021-2022 season. With a top performance so far this year against San Tan Charter, Allison finished the game with 29 points and has already been awarded the MaxPreps Player of the Game Award twice for her performances against Centennial (12/02) and West Point (12/07).
Navine Mallon Navine Mallon 5'9" | SF Flowing Wells | 2023 State AZ – Junior – Flowing Wells High School
Another standout junior this season has come out of Flowing Wells High School. Mallon is a junior wing for the Lady Caballeros that has helped lead her team to a successful 9-1 record to start off the year. She is averaging an impressive 15.0 points per game along with 11.8 rebounds per game so far in December. In all of her games expect two she has scored more than 13 points and I don’t see that dulling down throughout the rest of the year either. In the first game of the year, Navine knocked down 5 three-pointers for 56% and has kept the three-balls flying ever since.
Emma Rozelle – Senior – Marana High School
Rozelle is a senior captain for the Marana Lady Tigers that will be giving it her all for one last season of high school eligibility. With just a handful of games played so far, the combo guard is averaging 11.5 points per game, 3.0 rebounds per game and, 1.8 steals per game to help lead her team to a 2-2 start to the season. Emma has played up at the Varsity level since she was a freshman at Marana and has continued to grow and become an integral part of this team over the last few years. Do not let this senior get comfortable behind the line or she will make you pay.
